Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

The Cheese House Self Catering Cottage

The cottage comprises of an ensuite family room with a double bed and bunk beds, a living/dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, and another bathroom. It's perfect for couples and families of up to 4. The cottage has central heating so is lovely and warm, and is a great home from home. Enjoy a peaceful break on our organic working farm, set amid the stunning scenery of Dumfries and Galloway, ideally situated for easy access to local attractions. All guests welcome. Free Wi-Fi Dogs £10 per dog.

The Coach House, Glenluiart Cottages

The former Coach House of Glenluiart House in the musical, artistic, festival Village of Moniaive. The Coach House is a category B listed building which has been fully renovated to a high standard and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing short stay. Private grounds, with access to gardens and wonderful countryside views. One mile to the village of Moniaive and six miles to Thornhill with great local restaurants and activities. Non smoking and no pets.Parking available for one car.

Shinnel House

This beautifully positioned house sits within its own extensive and well-maintained wildlife garden and provides spacious accommodation for up to 8 people. The peaceful garden with riverside strolls beside Shinnel Water is shared with the owner who lives in an adjacent cottage. Big windows make for bright rooms and look out onto large expanses of lawn, a pond and small river (both unfenced). NOTE – The garden is not enclosed and has an UNFENCED pond and river. Small children must be supervised.

Prince’s Cottage is the old Shepard’s house and was originally made for the Prince Family. A 2 bedroom cottage that has been renovated and has the most amazing views. It is nestled just off the dead-end road that goes up the glen. It has its own little garden which is great for a dog to run around, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you need to make a feast after a day outside and when you are done you can sit by the log burner to play games at the end of the day.
