With gorgeous views of Lake Biwa east, forests and mountains nearby, we are surrounded by nature. Biwako Valley ski & scenic resort is nearby; Kyoto is just 35 minutes away by local train. Hiking trails are nearby, Lake Biwa 1 km away. Guests are welcome to interact with us, and our dogs, upstairs. If coming by train, inquire about us picking you up at Horai station before reserving. This is a residential neighborhood but we arrange rides down and up. Due to regulations, we can't serve dinner.

10 minutes walk to Nijo castle. We locate in the middle of Kyoto and love this neighborhood which shows fascinating local side.
