Stone and Thistle Farm is an ideal escape from the city or and a perfect destination for any farm-curious animal lover. The private suite is lovely in an idyllic setting surrounded by green rolling hills, populated by a menagerie of farm animals- who you’ll meet and learn about on the farm tour. Denise has a beautiful approach to raising livestock and shares the experience with guests. The bathroom is newly renovated and the bed is remarkably comfortable memory foam. Great restaurants in Oneonta and Delhi are just 20 minutes away. Denise gave us excellent recommendations. We can’t wait to go back.

I stayed in this apartment for a month and loved it. The location is gorgeous, the apartment is a great size for the price, the hosts are just truly lovely people who made me feel totally welcome. You will hear the ceiling creak when they walk around above you in the main house and the dogs bark, but not alot and the owners are very quick to quiet them down. I slept so well there. I never felt awkward sitting outside admiring the flowers and the trees, even when Sherrill and Clark were going about their yard chores. I loved being greeted when I arrived and sent off when I left. I felt like I truly mattered as a guest and a person. This is what airbnb hospitality should be! Thank you!! I'd stay again and highly recommend.

Nicole and Dan were wonderful hosts! They are proactive and responsive, checking in to see if anything was needed. Regarding the place, it’s exactly as advertised and spotless. Another highlight of this place is its location. It is walkable to the downtown area where a lot of restaurants and stores are located. I highly recommend!

Kyle is so kind and made our 14th Anniversary very special. Our room was quiet, cozy, aesthetically pleasing and convenient. The area is surrounded by natural beauty from the mountains and foliage. We enjoyed a star filled night and the sunrise over the mountains. The fire pit was also a nice touch. Anyone we came across was extremely friendly. We will be back next year. Thank you, Kyle!

Bri was a fabulous host! She was quick to respond and was so kind! The place definitely has a cozy cottage vibe. We were in town for a wedding and the airbnb was five minutes from the venue. Unfortunately, we couldn’t explore too much because it was raining. However, there are decent amount of cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. Angry Or hard was about a 10 minute drive and City Winery was about a 10 minute drive. I highly recommend if you’re visiting the area! If you are sensitive to noise, I’d be mindful or bring earplugs because the fire station is near by. Nothing bad to say about the host and airbnb. We really enjoyed our stay!

My stay here at Juliana and Paul’s airbnb was absolutely incredible… The pictures do the view no justice. In person, it is absolutely breathtaking. The apartment was impeccably clean! It is clear that the hosts pay attention to detail which I greatly appreciate. It was very quiet, private and peaceful which is exactly what I wanted.. This stay truly felt like a dream! The instructions given by the hosts were very clear which made the place easy to find and navigate. I will certainly be coming back to this location for a longer stay!

Perfect location — it’s directly in the middle of Minnewaska State Park and downtown New Paltz. Stargazing in the hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a long hike.

Sarah and George were wonderful hosts. Their place is so beautiful and quiet, but also a quick drive to many of the main hikes and attractions in the area. They were extremely communicative and gave us suggestions for great places to eat and hike. We will definitely be coming back again!

We stayed at Lori's place for a weekend. Great and peaceful location, it even has a little lake on the property! Very nice and quiet place surrounded by nature; a pleasant contrast to the NYC. Communication was great, and check-in/check out were a breeze. Everything was exactly as described. Thank you!

It was a wonderful stay in such a cute town! We really appreciated the fact that it was pet friendly! My boyfriend especially loved the shampoo and conditioner that was in the shower- he said it smelled incredible. Also, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The power ended up going out (while we were at the wedding reception!) and Susanne was proactive and reached out to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back and would love to stay again when the time comes!

I had a wonderful stay at Mara’s place! She is an incredibly responsible and attentive host — everything was spotless and well taken care of. The space itself is beautifully designed, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. I especially loved the stunning view over the Hudson Valley waterfront, which made each morning and evening feel extra special. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a serene, well-maintained getaway.

Accommodations were clean and well kept; rooms were thoughtfully stocked. Location was perfect! Hope to return again.

My second time back at the creek house and it was even better than the first. The first time I went the creek was frozen and the trees were empty so while it felt like I was in my own little oasis it was nothing compared to when the trees are full and the creek and waterfalls are flowing strong! I spent most of my time by the creek and fire pit just taking it all in. And even though there are homes nearby it very quiet and private. And Emily and Michael are the best most wonderful and friendly and accommodating hosts. I wasn’t able to drive up from the city this time and they offered me a ride from the bus station since I had a hard time figuring out the travel. And they always checked in and didn’t hesitate with anything I need. 5 stars all around

We had a great trip and staying here made it even better. The accommodations were great and well worth the money. We would love to stay here again on our next trip.

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved staying here for Memorial Day weekend! The space was such an amazing home base for our adventures and was very relaxing. There are stunning views of the mountains, Margaret’s garden, and surrounding woods. The art inside is breathtaking, especially Margaret’s husband Peter’s paintings. You can tell that the home is really cared for by Margaret and is full of love. Her personality is super sweet and she is extremely communicative, making sure we got in safe and would leave the driveway light on for us each night. Margaret is an extremely caring host who made our stay very comfortable and relaxing. We are hoping to come back very soon!

Liz’s Airbnb was incredibly accommodating, with flexible check-in and check-out that made our stay stress-free. The space was thoughtfully curated with charming details and a generous selection of snacks. We especially appreciated the complimentary yoga, which added a relaxing touch to our visit. Being right next to Wildflower Auberge was a huge plus and made the location even more ideal.

Adam’s place was exactly as described. It was stylish yet comfortable and close to town which made getting around easy. 100% would recommend staying here over a hotel.

Stayed a night at Kathleen’s lovely apartment in Hudson with my husband and 2 kids while we were in town for our niece’s graduation from Bard. After a cold and wet ceremony, her apartment was an absolutely wonderful rest for us. The view of the river below is ideal and she made our stay especially lovely with drinks that the kids adored, chocolates, yummy coffee, and wonderful smelling shower amenities. We left feeling rested and happy. Thank you Kathleen!

Great place to stay with amazing view! Wish I had more time to take one of the yoga classes offered in the studio upstair. Theresa was very responsive and provided helpful tips and local recommendation well ahead so I didn't have to do research :)

Sarah was a wonderful and responsive host! At first we couldn’t get in at check-in because of a jammed door but she responded right away and guided us through the process. Anything we asked for she replied to within minutes. The space is so pretty and calm, the hot tub was stellar, the fresh eggs convenient and delicious. Would stay again!

Joseph was always responsive and very accommodating when I had an issue arise. He was willing to work with me on any questions or requests I had (I did a long term stay at his place). The house was very clean. I highly recommend!
