There is a lot to discover in the area, many opportunities to relax and hike. For German history, the ideal starting point for hiking on the former death strip and visiting "litte Berlin". The former border station Probstzella is also within easy reach. The apartment is clean, well tidy and you will find everything you need for a relaxing hiking holiday. Very quiet location and you feel comfortable after the excursions. I would love to come back to see even more of the beautiful landscape.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The apartment is spacious and located in a lovely area, especially if you enjoy nature — there’s a picturesque forest right behind the house. It’s about 4 km from the city center, so having a car or bike is helpful. The place was tidy, well-equipped, and had all the essentials. André was a responsive and caring host — even though he was on vacation, he answered our messages promptly and was very helpful. We had an issue with the water supply on the last evening of our stay, which affected our experience. After we raised the concern, André responded promptly and resolved it relatively quickly. We also asked for a partial refund due to the inconvenience, and he agreed, which we really appreciated.

Vacation in the Franconian Forest – is pure nature. Our comfortable, quiet, family-friendly cottage is located a few meters outside of Lichtenberg, in the immediate vicinity of the lake "Frankenwaldsee", with a spacious sunbathing lawn. A circular path around the idyllic lake invites you for walks. From the lake it is about 3 minutes to the city of Lichtenberg. Not only beautiful hiking routes, perfect mountain bike tours can be planned, directly to Bad Steben to Döbraberg or the nearby Rennsteig.
