Debbie was a super welcoming host. Super reactive and flexible, she answered quickly when we sent her messages the day before our arrival to coordinate, and shared good recommendations of what to do in town and in the surroundings. We had lots of privacy in the room. It’s perfect for anyone who does not need access to a kitchen (we did not need it), and she provided fruits and snacks which helped us get a bit of fuel in the morning while we looked for a place to grab breakfast. We liked the tranquility of being removed from the middle of the town (we could hear the sheep in the evening with a beautiful sunset - quite a view!). She has multiple animals (as clearly described in her posting) but they were all super lovely and did not disturb us at all. I’m allergic to both cats and dogs and did not feel any allergies while being there which is a testimony of how clean the room was! Thanks so much Debbie, it was lovely to meet you and we hope our paths cross again!

Patricia was incredible. Very responsive, kind. She knew what was the occasion for me to rent hers place and left me a very special note. The room was amazing, very clean, comfortable, near to town and a lot of amenities. I felt I was at home. I highly recommend and if I go to Killarney again, I’ll definitely get her place again.

Julia is amazing!! It definitely felt more like a Bed and Breakfast than just a classic AirBnb online booking. She made me breakfast and was super personable but wasn’t in my hair. The apartment is right next to the station and less than a ten minute walk into town. I super recommend staying here! She was a delight and the space had so many amenities. She encouraged me to use her kitchen and store food in the fridge. It was an amazing stay!

B&B Tranquil Setting in Muckross (Private bath)

Margaret has earned every 5 star review you flip through. She is a delight. From the moment you start communicating with her you’ll feel her warmth and start sharing her enthusiasm for this beautiful country she’s happy to share with you. She helped us refine our itinerary so we could make the most of our time in this section. All this and I haven’t even mentioned her second in command, Suzie, the black and white charmer who dances out to greet you. If you’re not a dog person, don’t worry. Margaret is also an ace dog trainer and with just a nod, Suzie is off to her bed or dog house without hesitation. The bedroom with a bath down the hall was no problem at all. It was huge and we had it to ourselves. This is one decision you’ll be glad you made for years to come. Enjoy!

My family and I enjoyed staying at Con’s. The rooms are pictured exactly as they are in the photos and the place was very clean with ample room for storage. His home is very conveniently located. We had the pleasure of meeting him before we checked out. He is incredibly kind and responsive. We had a bit of trouble figuring out the shower, but Con helped us right away. Harley (the dog) was also an excellent host - very playful and friendly! I was surprised at how quiet and well behaved he is. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Killarney, Con’s place is an excellent choice.
