Storstugan in the 1700s

Storstugan at FärjanGården. This is the main building of the farm dating back to the 18th century. Much of the property is preserved and restored. Renovated in old style with murals and charm. Swimming opportunity on the farm at the guest jetty, fishing from shore or from a rowing boat that can be borrowed. Access to two canoes (shared with one other cabin further away on the property). Cozy terrace with evening sun and views of the Dalälven river. Sauna is down by the water (shared but can be booked)

Welcome at the Valstabacken Guesthouse! Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis in Västmanland. Watch the wild animals living their life from the patio or go have a swim in the nearby lake. The cabin lies perfectly for day-trips to Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås or Sala. Visit the Elk-park, Silvermine or enjoy one of the many hiking-trails nearby. There is a lot to see and do here, ask your hosts for recommendations. Or just relax and let nature heal you in this wonderful cabin.

The lake house - boats, beach, sauna, dock and barbecue!

Nära Högbo Bruk med Mountainbiketrails, kanotleder, padel, längdspår och storskogar. 28km till Kungsbergets ski resort för slalom & längdskidor, vandring, björnsafari. Gävle stad och Furuviks park. Motorbåt finns att hyra.

Älv-Hyddan

Welcome to this cozy nest at the Dalälven edge, 5 km outside Hedemora. Grill on the patio, sauna and take a swim from your own jetty. Indoors there is a modern kitchen, toilet with shower, fireplace, TV and wifi. The sauna is wood-fired and the plot bathes in the sun in the mornings, sun all the way into the afternoon down on the jetty. Firewood and canoe are on site for a fee. One bedroom with double bed, and one 140cm sofa bed upstairs. Ps. Look at the water for the beaver at night

At Smens Gårdar we are all about bespoke group stays and celebrations. The concept was created from our passion for horses, the great outdoors, local organic food, beautiful old houses and the planning of tailored get togethers and celebrations. Only two hours north of Stockholm you find Smens Hästgård, a boutique Bed & Box offering set in the beautiful village of Fornby, in Southern Dalarna. The large house from 1889 comfortably hosts your private party of up to 12 guests.

Herbre in natural farm environment

The cottage (‘härbre’ in Swedish) is one of several small outbuildings in a picturesque setting. The building is from the 19th century. The lower floor has been carefully renovated using traditional building preservation methods. There is a kitchenette with cold water, a fridge and a hob. The outdoor toilet is just a few steps away. The shower is in the main building. The forest is just around the corner with good opportunities for shorter or longer walks. Free parking.

A home closer to the water is probably hard to find. Taking the boat or in winter time going out to Holmen outside to grill and watch the sunrise is an extra plus. Please also refer to my guidebook that is in my profile. The internet works well with mobile broadband via Telia and others. Winter info: Romme Alpin and Kungsberget are slalom slopes 65 km away. Ryllshyttebacken is a nice family hill 12 km away. 2-4 kicks are available to borrow.

Newly built log cabin with a view of Hovran. Patio with barbecue, access to dock and rowing boat during summer. One bedroom with 4 beds in the form of 2 bunk beds, one bedroom with 2 beds. The living room has a wood-burning stove and on the grounds there is a wood-burning sauna. The accommodation is suitable for those who want to enjoy the peace and nature, parties are not allowed.

Cozy log cabin overlooking Håvran. Dock access. Porch with BBQ. A bedroom with a newly purchased double bed and a sleeping loft with two beds that can be made into a double bed. Tile oven is available. The accommodation is suitable for those of you who want to enjoy the tranquility and nice nature. Parties are not allowed. AC available. About 7 km to central Hedemora.
