Boat House on the Beach

The Boat House is located right on the beach (perfectly safe for kids) on the island of Valentia off the Southwest coast of Ireland. The big window in the sitting room overlooks the beach, Lighthouse, Beginish Island and beyond. It is the most wonderful place to be in good weather and the most fascinating in bad weather when you can watch big waves crashing onto the beach, the rugged shore and the rocks by the lighthouse - all while being cuddled up on the couch with a hot cup of tea!

A quiet place to relax after a long day travelling. Go for walks in the countryside or on the local Reenroe beach during the day and gaze up at the stars at night. This is a spacious open plan apartment with en suite bathroom. Light and airy, with kitchen containing fridge, cooker, smart TV and Wi fi (50MB). A comfortable double bed awaits you after your journey or a days sightseeing. The apartment is accessed by stairs so is unsuitable for disabled or wheelchair users

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Set cozily into the mountain on a working sheep farm. Panoramic views of Cahersiveen town and taking in Ballycarberry castle, Caherghall Fort and Valentia island and the vast Atlantic Ocean from the comfort of the sofa or outdoor seating area. Just 10–15 minutes from Portmagee harbour and Skellig Michael boat departures, and close to Valentia Island, the Ring of Kerry, beaches and coastal walks. The field on one side has an ancient 'standing stone' and looks towards the village of Lispole . On the other side is Dingle, 4km away with its sheltered harbour. In the fields on the headland opposite and nearby there are ring forts and standing stones.
