On foot you can stroll through the streets of Azay-le-Rideau and visit its castle. You will enjoy our bike or walking trails, where pretty paths await you as soon as you leave the cottage. Then it will be with happiness that Touraine will introduce you to its history, its castles, its writers, its gastronomy, its artisans and its Loire.

Château Stables with Truffle Orchard

In the grounds of a turreted 15th century château - featured in a number of homes & interiors magazines - this beautifully converted, spacious, former stables is set in glorious gardens with views over our 10-acre truffle orchard. Full of character and charm, thick local limestone stone walls keep the house cool in summer yet cosy during the colder, truffle-hunting months. The covered terrace is perfect for alfresco dining and has an uninterrupted view of the gardens.

Independent permaculture cottage

The cottage is located in the countryside, on the D7, 3 km from the A85 motorway, 3 km from the Loire bike path, close to the castles of Villandry, Langeais (6 km) and Azay-le-Rideau (7 km). Fontevraud Abbey, the castles of Chinon, Saumur, Chenonceau, and even Chaumont-sur-Loire are accessible within the hour thanks to the expressways. Bike shelter available. Private parking. The cottage is completely separate from my house which is nearby. You're my only guests.

The apartment is fully equipped so all you have to do is unpack your bags (sheets, towels provided)! The bedding is new (Dunlopillo brand), baby equipment (baby bed, high chair). A closed shelter is available to store bikes.
