Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Vancouver

We were looking for a place near our family for a wedding and week long vacation. The house suited us perfectly for our two families. We loved the openness of the kitchen, dining and living area. There is a nice area outside in back to also relax! It was a perfect vacation rental for us!

The property was exceptional; the hot tub was ideal, and the fire pit provided a welcome amenity after long days. All necessary provisions were available, and the neighborhood was notably quiet at night. We would gladly consider a return visit.

We traveled to Battle Ground for a 50th bday party. The home was in a great family friendly neighborhood and only 3 miles from our destination. Very nice home, clean & comfy beds. We had a great trip!

We loved staying here! It was a bit far from all the things we chose to do in Portland, but the drive back and forth was beautiful, picturesque, and actually a lot of fun! The place itself was so cozy, situated just off from the Washougal River. It was a great visit, and we’d happily stay here again if we ever came back to the area!

Hosts were very organized and wonderful communicators. Easy check-in / check-out process and overall great for our girls weekend away. The Troutdale home is well located — any easy drive to the airport and lots of good hiking. Few maintenance issues and outdoor area could use a little TLC, but really a beautiful spot and the hot tub was a delight. We had a private chef come to the house and it was a really good layout for it. Downtown Troutdale is super cute too.

Great stay. Large home and comfy bed and pillows. Kitchen had everything needed. Washer and dryer was nice. Nice backyard with seating and friendly black cat!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Portland! The space was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully decorated with style. The kitchen was stunning and fully equipped, perfect for cooking and gathering. The hosts were so kind, welcoming, and responsive, making our visit even more enjoyable.

Fantastic and a front porch to chill on while watching the rain; I like how the home was set in from the street in the back of the lot. The trees provided good shade and the cool breeze was awesome. Super walkable (Gravy, Matt’s Barbecue, and Mee Sen Thai) and the next street over was North Mississippi; the #4 bus connects to everywhere (not far from the Alberta Arts District). Great place, easy communication when needed; which was seldom because everything fit what I was looking for. Good people and a good place to disconnect and decompress. This one’s a favorite.

This was our second time to stay in this location. Both times involved a family event in Beaverton. We will be coming back in the future. The hosts are great and available for any questions. They leave the guests alone to enjoy their time. The landscaping and back yard provide a quiet escape. Give love to Miles.

Cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had staying at Rivers Retreat. It truly is a magical place right next to the Washougal River where you are surrounded by nature and can hear the peaceful river below. The hosts are more than helpful and we were grateful for their recommendations. We enjoyed watching the bald eagles and relaxing by the bonfire. The indoor space was very well kept and full of amenities. We will definitely return for another stay if ever in the area.

After staying back in 2021, this second visit felt like coming home (if home had windows that looked out in the the forest canopy and everything neat and tidy.) I just love the the view, the space itself, the trails, and above all the quiet! Susan is a responsive, friendly host who also feels to me like a guardian of the privacy.

We loved our four night stay here while exploring Portland and the Columbia River Gorge area. Since we were driving the parking in a safe garage was priceless to us. The apartment had everything we needed, including washer/dryer that we really needed at the tail end of a long roadtrip. The view from the apartment was beautiful and it felt really nice getting back to the apartment after a whole day of outing. We'll definitely stay here again on our next visit to Portland.

It was PERFECT! A great location for easy freeway access for Portland, and day trips. Lovely backyard, off street parking, and our Hosts were great!

The Quiet Place was great, it was centrally located to what we needed to do. Dee Dee was very responsive to messages, I would definitely stay again. Also, being in a basement, there was not much noise from up top, nothing out of the ordinary foot steps. Great place!

Absolutely loved this airbnb and location! We enjoyed the creek and scenery as well as the house amenities. Multnomah Falls was a short drive away, as well as Little Zizag Falls. We followed many of Sarah's recommendations on local attractions which was so thoughtful and helpful. I will cherish the time we spent here.

The cabin was very peaceful situated right next to a creek. My favorite part of my stay was drinking my coffee while sitting right next to the creek in the morning. Such a beautiful place, the cabin has everything you could need and felt very cozy. We enjoyed our one night stay and found it hard to leave the next day. We definitely recommend if you are needing a relaxing getaway near Portland!

This property was everything we could have wanted and more. It was a great way to spend time with family and have our own spaces at the end of the day. The creek and beautiful surroundings made for the perfect relaxing day! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful cabin. The place was even more beautiful than the pictures. We were there to gather with family and attend a wedding in Ariel, Washington. We loved the nicely mowed lawn area in the back for running and playing with the grandchildren. We all enjoyed the river and surroundings.

I genuinely can’t say enough good things about Todd and his magical little slice of outdoorsy heaven. The man does it all, seriously. He’s like a wizard of all things amazing. He roasts his own coffee (on what might be the world’s oldest coffee roaster… no, really), serves up hot cereal that could convert even the most devoted Bob’s Red Mill fans, and casually throws in bread-making classes like it’s just part of the camping experience. The A-frames? Super comfy, charming, and the kind of cozy that makes you forget you’re technically “roughing it.” This place is truly tucked away in its own peaceful nowhere zone, and blends together the perfect sourdough bread, rustic lodging, and 5- star hospitality into one unforgettable experience. Honestly, if you’re thinking of camping with your family, this is the place. Skip the chaos and go full Todd. You will not regret or forget it!

Melinda's 'Story House' was everything we hoped it was and more! The evening we arrived, we walked up the lit path to find this magical cottage in the woods, looking so warm and inviting. Walking through the front door, it felt like coming home to a storybook cottage. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The detached bathroom was luxuriously spacious and made our stay so much more fun, even in the rain. The fire pit and hot tub added to the experience. To say we enjoyed our stay in the 'Story House' would be an understatement. It was an experience in itself and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

Scheduled last minute but was definitely worth the stay! Host was helpful and the place was very well put together. Will be visiting again in the near future!
