Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Varennes-sur-Loire

We felt very lucky to be able to stay in Catherine's beautiful gite. We were made so welcome from the minute we arrived. The gite is calm, clean and beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the birds and the silence. The pool was a welcome retreat during the hottest part of the day. The many trees create areas of shade whilst the flowers add colour in the many different pockets of interest. We would thoroughly recommend Catherine's gite and would love to return ourselves one day.

We had a great stay with friends! The accommodation is superb, spacious and very well-equipped. Each room has its own private bathroom and toilet, which is ideal for a group stay. The garden is beautiful, perfect for relaxing, and the pool is really exceptional. The address is quiet, while being close to many activities and sites to discover in the Loire Valley. It was the perfect place to fully enjoy our vacation. Thanks again to our host for their availability and hospitality. We recommend it!

Located on the outskirts of Saumur, this charming house in a typical regional style combines authenticity and modernity to comfortably accommodate up to five people.

Exactly what we were looking for, a nice place in the country that was close to towns and chateaux we could explore. We are a group who likes cooking and were easily able to do so in the nice kitchen oozing with French charm. Plus the beds were very comfortable, always a plus when traveling. The setting was abundant with beautiful flowers in bloom, chickens clucking peacefully, and a horse in the field. It was really wonderful. We appreciated that Odette came out to meet us and to make sure we knew where everything was.

A perfect stay in the vineyards! From the moment we booked, Anne and Jérôme’s communication was superb. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible, which made a big difference as we were travelling from overseas and needed some leeway. We were warmly welcomed with a beautiful bottle of red wine : such a thoughtful touch! The property itself is spotless, peaceful, and nestled right in the heart of the vineyards. It truly is a tranquil escape. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and charming retreat.

Hi, Aurélie and Hamdi were very responsive during our exchanges and remain available for any questions. The accommodation is very well maintained, is within walking distance from the train station at the foot of the fortress and matches the photos. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Apartment was very spacious with lovely decor. Real treat to have the balcony and views over the Loire. Sarah was very welcoming and had provided basic food stuffs such as milk and coffee, etc. She was very informative about the area and things to do. The apartment was in the centre of the city and close to attractions and restaurants. As we arrived by train we found public transport was not very frequent when we wanted to travel out of city. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A beautiful apartment! So well located just a skip from a lovely square with bars and restaurants. The apartment was both roomy and cosy and had everything we could wish for as well as some great design touches and was also very clean. The windows and balcony were stunning and a must for having a chilled glass of wine on before dinner (sorry Harold for breaking a glass). Such a great, chic find!

Thank you to Marie and Anthony for this stay in their very well-equipped Airbnb. The sauna, spa and steam room greatly contributed to making the stay enjoyable. The accommodation, located in a quiet area in the courtyard of a condominium, is well insulated from noise. Small downside regarding the temperature of the jacuzzi, which we did not know how to set well, but Anthony reacted very quickly and helped us perfectly! The hosts are really caring and available when needed. Do not hesitate to contact them: they will respond quickly and will be happy to help you 😊

Stunning house, well equipped ,Great pool. we stayed for Le man‘s 24 hrs race weekend. The only downside was spending time at the race instead of relaxing at the property.
