If a couple book then one bedroom gets closed off. Contact host if you would like to use both rooms. Price is for a couple only. Secure parking. There is an area to braai but you have to bring your own braai. Owners live next door / Cottage completely private. Solar System ,Fibre Wifi + DSTV.

The cabin overlooks the entire bay with the majestic Cederberg mountains in the distance. It has two ensuite bedrooms with compost toilets, and a spacious open plan kitchen/living area with a cast iron woodburner fireplace which makes the cabin warm and cozy even in winter. This is by far one of the best places we have stayed. Such a hidden gem, so much attention to detail. All l can say is l definitely felt that there was a pinch of love in organising the space. Marlene is such a fantastic host, the place is fully equiped, and so peaceful. lrene her helper also loves her job, it was spotless. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you once again Marlene for allowing us to explore The Greenary.

Erna's listing of Heron's Place is an absolute must to try. Our stay was just too short. We arranged a boat cruise on the river and because of the private jetty, they were able to pick us up at our doorstep and drop us off there again. The area is beautifully quiet and on the river. I would recommend it.

We were welcomed with thoughtful gifts, and the place was spotless and beautifully kept. I honestly can’t fault a single thing, Maritjie put so much care into making us feel welcome. We had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, Amarentia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and thoughtful — their hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to our trip. The town is a small, peaceful gem, perfect for unwinding and taking a break from the fast pace of the CBD. There’s something so refreshing about the slower rhythm and friendly local atmosphere. One of the highlights was definitely waking up to the stunning ocean view each morning — it was so calming and beautiful. We truly felt relaxed and recharged. Would definitely love to come back again!

Great view of the boats from the balcony, very tidy and luxurious apartment. Check-in was straight forward and Susan was very responsive and nice. One consideration is that the production of dried fish, bokkom, might smell sometimes if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction.
