Welcome to the Kinsol Cabin! This modern & eco-built cabin is a retreat by the lake. Nestled in the trees, you'll find nothing but peace and tranquility, located a few minutes walk from the famous Kinsol Trestle & the Trans Canada Trail; a haven for hikers, mountain bikers & outdoor enthusiasts of every kind. We are a 5 minute drive from West Shawnigan Lake Park (lake access) and an 8 minute drive from Masons Beach / Shawnigan village, and a 50 minute drive from Victoria.

Charming Cozy Cabin

The cabin is 12’X18’. Small, but complete with all you need for a little island getaway. -Full bed, super comfy. -Kitchenette includes fridge, toaster, microwave, and coffeemaker. -Bathroom includes sink, shower, toilet. -WiFi and DirectTV (Due to the remoteness of our island, short internet disruptions are normal.) -Cell service can be spotty on the Island The cabin is located on our property, 100 feet from our house. ( west coast trail, Juan de fuca marine trail). Local whale watching area. Winter storm watching or simply reading a book by the fire. A lovely spot for two after a long day of activities. You’ll enjoy quiet sunsets, perhaps the odd storm, relax and recharge.

AMAZING WATERVIEW CABIN! This is the place to come during Coronavirus! It’s clean, sanitized with antibacterial wipes, private, and you can prepare your own meals. While on the ferry you can stay in your car for protection. Also, I’ve gone to a self check in policy for our protection, and provide an annotated map with directions to my favorite places and hikes.
