“Casa Corona exceeded all of my parties expectations. From the minute we booked our stay to the day we arrived on Vieques, the communication and check in process was superb. Auriello, the property manager met us at our car rental place where we followed him to the property. He walked us thru and showed us every detail of the home and offered us many valuable tips and pointers for maneuvering the beautiful island of Vieques. The location was absolutely perfect offering easy access to both Isabel and Esperanza. The private beach was stunning and was always full of wild horses to view from the back deck or pool. We were able to explore almost every beach and restaurant with our time on the island. Our favorite beaches were Navio, Caracaus and La Chiva #8. Do not forget to snorkel Mosquito pier to swim with the sea turtles. As far as the restaurants go, the staples like Bili and El Quenepo are always amazing, however this trip we fell in love with Bigotis and the Vieques Food Park. Don’t forget to stop at the airport to have the best hand made daily dumplings and crab rangoons, you can thank me later ;)! Thank you to our gracious hosts and awesome property manager. We loved every minute of our trip and look forward to staying at this beautiful property again on our next visit!”
Sal del Mar is located in the town of Isabel Segunda on the island of Vieques. We are minutes away from the Plaza, grocery store, and shops. Sea Glass Beach is just a short walk from the house. The upstairs apartment, with its private entrance, has expansive views of the ocean and the main island of Puerto Rico. Your apartment boasts a fully furnished and workable kitchen, open living area, front porch overlooking the street, and a bedroom where you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
“Extremely welcoming hosts picked us up from the airport and brought us to the apartment. They gave us a quick run down of the island and suggested a couple places to go (including the only local distillery on the island!). The house was sparkling clean and fully stocked with amenities for our stay. The kitchen was perfectly set up for us to buy groceries and cook in multiple nights. The porch on the back has outrageously gorgeous views of the water and the sunsets. There are doors in the front and back of the apartment so you can take full advantage of the trade winds to cool off the apartment. The house is a short walk to downtown Isabel where you can do some shopping and eating; it is also just a couple blocks from Sea Glass beach. Marie and Mike have truly thought of everything when they put this place together. Do yourself a favor and don’t wait to book, you won’t want to stay anywhere else.”
Tiny cozy house few steps from a wonderful secluded beach, will be shared with a native viequense woman. Perfect to experience the tranquil life of Vieques.
“This place is amazing! If you are looking for a true and authentic stay in Vieques, this is the place for you. As others have stated before, being an animal lover is a requirement for staying here. Her dogs are so sweet and friendly, but we took a special liking to the pig. The rooster will wake you up bright and early in the morning which I loved (but if you aren’t a fan, Kiani does provide ear plugs!) This island is so special. We encountered lots of horses strolling by, and every day when we went to the beach (which is amazing, and a 2 minute walk from her home), there was a sweet local island doggy there to play and guide us. We decided to walk from the ferry, not terrible but definitely call ahead and rent a golf cart or Jeep. We wish we would have done that!! All in all it was an amazing stay.”
