After 5 nights spent in this beautiful place I had a hard time leaving it... I got depressed and cried so much this place is perfect, that's to say! In fact, if I could buy this property, I would do it without hesitation 💫 Honestly, I'm still shocked by this breathtaking view... whether you're in bed, on the terrace, in the hot bath or in the pool, it's just sublime, incredible, bewitching... I don't have enough adjectives to describe this place, all I know is that I would like to go back as soon as possible ✨️ PS: remember to buy something to make a fire for the barbecue and the brazier (with marshmallows)

Everything was great & we got great recommendations for the area. Upon arrival, we met at a nearby cafe and were escorted to the accommodation. We were very warmly welcomed on site and received the first information. After half of the stay, we even got fresh towels. Unfortunately, two things are not apparent from the description: the view of the lake is obscured by trees & you have direct neighbors. But that didn't bother us & we would come again and again!

I had a great time in Casa da Julia, one of the 2 houses that João has given a whole new life, in the midst of the history of the village of Ermelo, which is so beautifully located. A must for people who like to be in nature, peace and quiet. João is a top host!

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Phenomenal! Great vibe with cool touches throughout the entire home. Everything you need in cookware available to whip up your meals. We ate outside in the little private nook just off the kitchen surrounded by succulents and staghorn ferns listening to the local church bells. Nothing better than that. Great little town with so many restaurants and cafès plus local grocery stores and bakeries nearby and also plenty of cool paths to hike nearby! Highly recommended!!!

We stayed in this wonderful house to celebrate my birthday and it was simply perfect! The house is beautiful, fresh and very comfortable - it really conveys a feeling of peace and well-being. We were greeted with great affection and attention, which made all the difference. Micaela was an excellent host – super friendly, practical and flexible, always available to help with whatever was needed. Both she and Márcia were extremely helpful and attentive. We feel truly welcome. We're missing a broom! But otherwise the house was very complete. The kitchen is very well equipped. We all dream of living in a house like this! I wholeheartedly recommend it. 💫

I hesitate writing this review because I want this place to stay a secret… but it’s too good not to share. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The space is spotless, stylish, and incredibly cozy—like a boutique hotel and a warm hug had a baby. The bed was so comfortable we missed our alarm (zero regrets). The kitchen was impressively stocked—better than mine at home—and every little detail felt intentional and thoughtful. The host was the perfect balance of helpful and hands-off, responding quickly when needed but letting us enjoy the space fully. The location? Peaceful, private, yet close to everything we wanted to do. It’s the kind of place that makes you rethink your life choices and wonder if you could just live here forever. Please don’t book it—I’m already planning my return and want it available. But seriously… if you’re lucky enough to snag a night here, take it. Just leave my dates open.

Extraordinary hostel in a charming vineyard. The premises are beautiful, both inside and outside. The decor, furniture, bed and bathroom were perfect, beautiful, comfortable and very clean. We loved the lunch served in a picnic basket with fresh products. Lots of care. It's definitely our favorite part of our trip. Only point to consider: the accommodation is located in a quiet village 20 minutes from the life of Amarante, so you need a car to visit the surroundings. Thank you very much for the welcome, we will definitely come back!
