My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at Jean’s tiny house in the woods near the river Mondego. The location is simply magical—surrounded by nothing but nature, it offered us the calm and peaceful retreat we were looking for. The proximity to the river was a highlight, where we could swim and paddle at our leisure, fully immersed in the natural beauty of the place. What truly made our stay unforgettable was Jean himself. His genuine friendliness, good energy, and welcoming spirit created an atmosphere that felt more like visiting a friend than staying at a guesthouse. We especially cherished our conversations with Jean - heartfelt, relaxed, and full of good vibes. Thank you, Jean, for sharing your little sanctuary with us. On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

Pedro was a fantastic host who provided detailed airport directions, transportation advice, and was incredibly responsive throughout. He personally welcomed us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. The location was perfect - peaceful and quiet, exactly what we hoped for. The pool was amazing with stunning views and a natural feel that made it truly special. A delightful surprise was fresh bread from the local bakery delivered to our door each morning. When we requested additional bread, Pedro generously provided extra at no charge, showcasing his wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a thoughtful host, serene location, and beautiful amenities. Already looking forward to returning with my family!
