Yoga Retreat (Binsar)

Simran KaurRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I almost wish I could keep this place a secret and not write a review so that people don't visit and the place remains hidden in the vast, beautiful and alive wilderness. But here I am. This is a place for peace lovers, sunset lovers and mother nature's devotees. If you do come here, I hope you make sustainable choices and get to dive deep into nature's secrets with open and loving hearts. Happy travel!

Jageshwar - Heritage Homestay - Pahadi Suite

IzabelaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Amazing place! located far from the roads on the side of the hill so only sounds you hear is nature. The mud house is so beautiful and comfortable. it's decorated with a lot of taste and the bed is very comfortable. Kundan, who manages the property is such a lovely person, and his family is so nice to be around. They helped with organising transport for me straight to the airport, so it was all stress free for me. Kundan also arranged a walk for me through the hills to a nearby Jageshwar Temple, which was so beautiful. And the food served was worthy a high end restaurant. The only thing that might bother some people, is power cuts, but if you travelled in India you just take it as a given anyway, and use it to relax, which is what I did.

Cob House in Himalayan Orchard 2

ArchanaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
It what you see , its simple , elevated basics , decluttered way of how things work. the place offers you everything incase you are seeking indeed some quiet time . the food logistics are sorterd , they have fixed meal plans , that are wholesome , nurturing and yummy at the same time . not having to think of food was an absolute game changer . we were excited and looked forward to our meals. the hosts are very informative, and will guide you in the direction you seek. there are several simple hikes and trails around the place , a rare luxury .

Aashirwaad Homestay

Amarjeet SinghRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Mukesh ji & Sarita ji were perfect hosts. Our family spent and hour with Sarita Ji chit chatting in the evening learning about life in the hills! Sarita ji also helped us arrange some locally grown organic products too. Place is serene and quiet, and exactly like in the pictures. We were a family of 6 plus 3 little toddlers! The price was very economical for us. The place and hosts have a very relaxed vibe, you will wake up in the morning with the sound of birds. Really needed this. Please continue running the place as is!

La Maison 757, kitchenette room 4

PoojaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I had a truly wonderful stay at La Maison 757 in Almora. The homestay has a cozy, welcoming charm and is surrounded by stunning views of the hills. What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the hospitality of the host, Sapna. She was incredibly responsive, warm, and thoughtful throughout our stay—always just a message away and eager to ensure we were comfortable. One of the highlights was the delightful evening snacks ,I ordered. There's something incredibly comforting about sipping a cup of hot chocolate or ginger lemon tea in the cool mountain air, and the freshly made bread pakoras were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and just the right kind of indulgent after a day of exploring. These little touches made us feel truly at home

It was really worth spending staying at this place, calm, serene and simple living. We were searching for a place where we can actually get connected to nature and ourselves and the best part is this place is a perfect fit for us. Food was very tasty just like we cook in our home. Host was very cooperative and understanding and he will actually make you feel as if you are family to him. Will definitely visit again.

Pankhola - A place to rejuvenate

SaurabhRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is great stay in middle of nature! Going there can be bit of a challenge as you have to walk 300 meters downhill, but once you go there, you are greeted with amazing hosts - they are super friendly and very simple. The view is amazing, super pleasant super quiet, network is good, food is homely and its just amazing! Highly recommended

Kintsugi @ Aikkya

SupriyaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We spent 3 days including New Year's Eve at Aikkya. Their place is ideally located with great views, peace and quiet. Our room was simply yet beautifully decorated and was very clean. We liked the fact that their cottages are built with local building techniques, are sustainable and still have the modern amenities and comforts. We especially loved the common lounge/dining area with it's wood burning stove. It's the ideal place to chill, get to meet the other guests, eat and drink. Shivani and Avijeet go to great lengths to cater to the tastes of each of their guests, cooking different cuisines and offering variety. We had some delicious meals and got to taste an authentic Kumaoni spread. At the end of our stay, we left knowing that we will be back.
