Holiday rentals with lake access in Vimmerby Municipality

We are incredibly pleased with our stay and both adults and children thrived incredibly well and enjoyed our time in the house. Elin is incredibly nice and helpful and really does that little extra. We highly recommend this accommodation and wish we had booked more days.

We enjoyed the stay very much and felt like Lisa, Lasse and Bosse. You really feel like you're in Astrid Lindgren's stories - you have to live with that, as many tourists come during the day and take photos of the house. The house is lovingly renovated and is actually much more beautiful than in the photos. The furnishings are as loving as they are detailed. The garden is beautiful. Especially with children, the accommodation is absolutely worth a trip - our three were always swinging, jumping on hay and romping outdoors. There are also many games inside. Communication with the hosts was great and always friendly and accommodating. We especially recommend the accommodation for Astrid Lindgren fans - what an experience to live in Bullerbü. But we also recommend this lovely and beautiful neighborhood in the middle of the dreamy Swedish landscape to everyone else.

We had some wonderful days at Eva's lovely house, where we enjoyed the rural charm and tranquility. We walked to the nearby lake and bathed, enjoyed the bright summer evenings in the lovely garden, where the kids played football and rocked while we adults enjoyed nature and had cozy moments indoors in the spacious and well-equipped house, where there was plenty of entertainment for all ages. In addition, we went on day trips to Astrid Lindgren's World, Kathultt and Bulderby, all of which were within 25 minutes of driving. We were 10 people: two families with 4 children in total, as well as a set of grandparents and we had so much space! It was really nice that each family unit could have a large room with its own seating where you could retreat if needed for tranquility ☺️

Clean and charming accommodation in a quiet and peaceful environment, with proximity to Vimmerby's offerings as well as nature and local swimming areas. In addition to friendly treatment from Jimmy, free parking was offered next to the property, patio with barbecue, TV and board games, the possibility of casting and made beds upon arrival. Great!

A lovely home and an emphasis that clearly and quickly communicates at questions, etc.

My family and I had a great stay in Pierre's house. We used it as base for a visit to Astrid Lindgren Park. The location is really beautiful and peaceful and the children played outside without screens and phones the whole day (which usually never happens). The place is well equipped for children with toys, swings and a trampolin. As most Swedish country houses, the house is not luxury, but we also didn't expect that and who cares when it is couzy and the surroundings are as great like this.

This apartment was extremely well equipped and super clean. Modern yet cozy furniture and even toys for kids. This is the perfect place to stay for a family if you want to visit Astrid Lindgrens Värld. The communication was absolutely amazing.

We spent two wonderful weeks in this beautiful house at two lakes as a family of five with a dog. The weather was great, the terrace outside very cozy, the house has everything you need. We recovered well in nature. It was fun to swim in the lake and the place is a great starting point for activities in the archipelago of Västervik and in Vimmerby. Clear recommendation, nothing to complain about.

Perfect simple overnight accommodation in connection with a stay at Astrid Lindgren's World. A big plus is that you can bring pets. A small minus on the mischievous cat that wanted to get into the cottage and wanted to cuddle when you sat on the patio. Will definitely consider this accommodation again for future visits to Vimmerby/Astrid Lindgren's World.

We had a great week walking with our kids in the footsteps of Astird Lindgreen. Bullerbü, Katthult, Vimmerby and Mariannelund were easily accessible. There is a nice swimming lake near the apartment. The food at Anki's cafe is highly recommended. We have experienced a lot and have recovered well at the same time thanks to the spacious apartment and the tranquility in Karlstorp. Thank you!

Nice apartment, spacious and clean and neat. Had all accessories. Can recommend for more. We stayed here family of five, while we were a couple of days in Astrid Lindgren's World.

We were super happy, perfect accommodation for us for our overnight stay. Easy and smooth, both to drive there and to check in and out. Nice little playground just behind so the kids could splash off after a long car ride before they went to sleep.

Cozy cottage in the forest nearby a lake - perfect to get away from everything and just relax. There are some activities within driving distance, as the helpful host suggested. The children loved the elk park!

We were incredibly happy with our stay. I thought it was even nicer than the pictures showed. Although the house is right down to a beautiful lake, and the house inside is nice. Can be highly recommended. The only small minus was that there was no drinking water in the taps, but Jim had put some large jugs for us with drinking water. He wrote that we could fill up at a gas station, but we could have used a precise description of where we could get water from. And it would have been nice to know in advance. But all in all, wonderful!

A cozy accommodation in a very nice place. Lovely pool and clean and fresh in the cottage with a lot of equipment, which makes it easier when you rent a house and do not need to pack everything with you. Pleasant and helpful hosts. We would be glad to come back! Best regards, Johanna with family
