Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. The best villa we have ever been to. We didn’t want to leave, the villa has everything you need. Access to the beach, whirpool, beautiful pool, bbq place. Amazing. Really impressed. I hope we will come back. Thank you!

We stayed at this beautiful villa with our adult children and an older parent, and it exceeded our expectations. Perched high above Moires, it offers stunning views of the valley and distant mountains. The villa is exactly as shown, with a fantastic outdoor pool, lovely gardens, and an outdoor kitchen featuring a gas grill and wood-fired pizza oven. Inside, everything was clean and well-presented, complete with a wonderful welcome pack. All the rooms were just as advertised, with quality linens and towels. George, the owner, was incredibly attentive, communicating effectively and even cooking delicious Cretan meals for us on several evenings. He also shared great recommendations for local trips, restaurants, and beaches. I can’t recommend this villa enough—it’s perfect, and I can’t wait to return!

The vacation in this apartment was fantastically beautiful! Georgios and Despoina were lovely and very friendly hosts. We had a wonderful view of the bay and the sea from our terrace /balcony and even from the bed! We couldn't get enough of it. The apartment was superbly equipped and the furnishings very modern. We enjoyed the time there so much and would definitely like to come back :-) We already miss Matala! Best regards, Petra and Alexandra

A little piece of paradise We had an unforgettable stay as a couple in this beautiful apartment in Agia Pelagia. Every morning started with breakfast under the bougainvillea, watching the sunrise over the sea – absolutely magical. Just a few steps and we were swimming in crystal-clear water. Pure bliss! The apartment is stylish, spotless, and well-equipped with all essentials like soap, detergent, and toilet paper. The kitchen allowed us to prepare meals comfortably and had all the necessary utensils. A lovely surprise was the thoughtful welcome gift: coffee, wine, fruit, cookies, and water – such a kind gesture. Shops are just minutes away on foot, and everything was super convenient. We truly felt at home and appreciated the care the hosts put into every detail. We’re already dreaming of coming back! Thank you for everything!

This place is simply amazing. The photos don’t even do it justice. Andreas greeted us with fresh fruit, champagne, and other typical Greek specialties and was just so nice. The house is spacious and has everything you might need during a vacation and more. The views of the ocean are terrific and the pool was so nice and refreshing. Our daughter loved it and so did we. You don’t even have to leave the property to have an amazing vacation. But if you feel like exploring, the town of matala, the archeologic site of Festos and the beaches in the area are all within a 20-30 minute drive. If you think about booking, just do it! You won’t be disappointed. There are also a few nice taverns within a 10 minute drive if you don’t feel like cooking, e.g. the restaurant Imeros, which had amazing food. We loved our stay and hope to come back soon. Thank you, Andreas!
