Holiday rentals with lake access in Waikato River

Amazing, breathtaking view. Best place for me and bridesmaids before went to my wedding at Don Rowland. The only downfall is that the dam was closed at the time, it would have been a 5 minute drive but had to go right around via motorway (20 min) but the house itself was well worth it! Had everything we needed and more!!! I would consider going again just for a normal weekend. The hosts were accommodating in every way, we had access to kayaks, best coffee machine, comfy couches and beds, clean showers, a nice bbq, beautiful flowers, awesome neighbours, parking for about 3 cars and extra blankets and towels. 10/10 from us!

We’ve found Bayley’s house a great place to stay for family. The plunge pool is so big and we enjoyed it very much. Everything is same as described and Bayley’s instruction is clear. So everything went smoothly, we recommend this place!

A neat and tidy cottage in a nice area not far from town. A little small on the inside but good for an overnight stay. The bed is super comfy and cozy and the facilities are great. Being dog friendly is a great option and very well catered for. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you 🤩

Our family had a wonderful stay. This home is in a great location with amazing views of the lake. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace in the cool evenings and the home felt very private and peaceful. Our host was super helpful and responsive. We could t have asked for more. Thank You!

Absolutely a hidden gem! Beautiful surroundings and cozy house. It was our first time staying at an Airbnb with fireplace and the experience was great. It was very warm during the rainy days. We definitely enjoyed the stay. Thank you!!

We had a fantastic short stay. It was comfortable and had everything for a relaxing visit. Food was left for us which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The views of the lake are stunning, it was the highlight. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place just outside the main centre.

Danny's place is extremely high quality. It was warm and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The views are beautiful. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Sharon’s. Everything was tidy and well kept - if we’re ever planning to stay in the area again we will definitely book here again!

Kristin has been great with communication, offering early check in as soon as the place is available. Location is excellent, lake front, next to many restaurants and most importantly, 3 min walk to Wai Ariki hot spring which is the main reason for our visit to Rotorua. Note though because of the proximity to Eat Street - Friday night particularly can be very noisy , music well into 1am . The pull out couch at the study does sleep the 5th guest, but the study is more a recess from the kitchen area, so whoever sleeps there bring eye mask and ear plugs.

Another fantastic stay at this lovely house in the most perfect location. Being able to head around the lake so easily is such a bonus. Tracy was very quick with all communication and queries I had. Everything you need is in the hosue and the bd very comfortable. # WIll definitely stay again when in Hamilton

We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Irene’s apartment. She is super attentive and the house was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Such an amazing location so close to the water and a short walk from the shops Acacia Bay has to offer. Would definitely 100% recommend. Thank you so much for having us, Irene.

Beautiful location with scenic views over the lake. The studio is really well equipped and the small details really made a huge difference - electric blanket in the bed and snacks for hungry hikers. We loved mountain biking in redwood forest and then coming back to watch the birds on the lake. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home ….. our hosts Marki and Chris were just wonderful and everything about the space and the surroundings was top notch. The furnishings, decor, attention to detail, lovely treats and overall vibe of the home was very special …. Walking distance to the most beautiful little bay, surrounded by nature was awesome. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

Awesome cosy place with awesome views! You can see the lake, a mountain, the Taupo town lights at night. Would highly recommend for any couple looking to spend some time away in NZ.

We chose Rob’s place initially based on the beautiful first photo of the sunrise or sunset. While we did not have a chance to see sunsets there, the sunrises were picture-worthy every day! The view was absolutely remarkable. Rob’s attention to details showed in how he has supplied this AirBnb and his carefully written instructions. The choice of pillows and great water pressure were perfect. Everything was very comfortable, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. Rotorua made an excellent home base for all of our activities in the central North Island. Our only regret was not staying longer. We hope to return if we visit New Zealand again.

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

Lovely place close to the lake and a quick drive to Rotorua. The patio was super fun to hang out and we loved the outdoor shower. We liked staying here!

We had a wonderful stay at Zara’s place! It was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. My son absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend for a relaxing and comfortable getaway!

Fantastic place! The location is super convenient, grocery store and good playground just up the road. Main town just a bit beyond that in the opposite direction. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and having off street parking was convenient. Thank you Vicki we had a wonderful stay
