Holiday rentals with beach access in Waipu

This is an absolutely charming apartment to stay in and we enjoyed it immensely. Lynne is the perfect host - warm and welcoming but also attentive to our needs. There was a selection of goodies when we arrived and she baked the most amazing fresh muffins for us the following morning. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated with an inspiring collection of furniture and framed photographs. There is also a bookcase with a discerning and eclectic collection of books if you’re interested in reading- which I was. The real highlight of the apartment is the view. There is wide, expansive view of Auckland’s harbour and you are not overlooked by any of the neighbouring houses. Sitting there on the super comfy couch, with a cup of tea while looking out on the water is simply bliss. Overall, this a marvellous place to stay and simply on a higher level to many other similar apartments. We highly recommend it and will certainly come back.

A lovely place! I had been experiencing some stress recently, so this was a great place to come to unwind. I thrashed it out on the nearby Mt Manaia- handy being in the area! Recommended. Plus shops etc not to far away by car. Comfy bed, clean, and just generally awesome. I should have read the place name properly/ used my common sense....couldn't go kayaking because of the tide (was low in the late afternoon and morning)- my fault for not figuring that out!! Just have to come back then 😉 Thanks guys, awesome place.

Well I must say in our opinion, this is the best spot in Mangawhai Heads, beautiful views from the unit of the beach in front. The unit is awesome, with everything you need. We stayed as a couple, but the unit has room for a family. Easy access to beach and short walk to surf beach and walking trails. Paul was excellent to deal with, great communication and direction Thanks again

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Julie's place. The setting was beautiful and it felt like being in the middle of the bush. Julie is a very friendly and accommodating host and there were some lovely and thoughtful items she left inside the apartment, such as cookies for us and for our dog, muesli, yoghurt, milk and fresh fruit plus some dog poop bags etc. We met Julie and Dexter only briefly and would like to thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The unit is fresh and new. Very clean and well kept. The hosts are responsive to any questions and very friendly. A great base to explore from

I loved my stay at this Airbnb! The space was beautifully decorated—so stylish and thoughtfully designed with everything I needed. It felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet still convenient to explore the area. I slept so well thanks to how serene the neighborhood was. The host Karen and Craig were responsive, welcoming, and made sure I had a fantastic experience. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, chic retreat. Thank you for such a great stay!

Perfect place, easy relaxing atmosphere

We’ve stayed at many Mangawhai properties and this is a new favourite. Perfect location between estuary and surf beach. Mama and baby slept in the main house and couple with fur child in the self-contained sleep out. Superking bed was a treat, although the mattress too soft for us. The fire place is cosy and the birdsong so tranquil. House is elevated and private but neighbours are still close. A group nearby partied at night but were quiet by 10pm. Leeanne was a responsive, friendly and helpful host. The house has a homely and welcoming vibe . We will stay again!

Francie’s place is a wonderful place to stay, it has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. We loved the short walk to Ruakaka beach - one of our favourite places! Francie was a fabulous host, very responsive to communication and so kind and accomodating to our children. We had a great time even through the weather bomb. We will be back :)

We had a fantastic Mum's weekend away!! The house and amenities were perfect for what were needed. The spa and sauna were both so awesome and relaxing. Natasha was a great host and the ability to have early check-in and late check-out helped us make the most of our time! The house was lovely and clean with everything we needed. I will be back again, just looking at dates with another group of friends!

Thanks so much for a great stay! The lady on site was so lovely and welcoming and accommodating. The best location with everything you could need or want at arms reach! My little dog loved zooming around the yard and surrounding parks/beach. Can’t wait to come back!

Very friendly, very tidy well looked after property

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

Fabulous hosts, lovely accommodation. We stayed for three nights, and all loved it including our puppy. If we didn't have to be back home for things, we would've extended our stay by a couple more nights. I'm sure we will be back again though. Thanks for the lovely stay
