Amazing stay, pictures do not do justice to this place. Great host with very clear instructions. Will definitely be coming back for stargazing and the Jacuzzi.

I had the most incredible weekend stay at Mahina Treehouse in Mangawhai. The space is absolutely stunning and surrounded by nature. It was the perfect escape to explore Mangawhai. The entire space felt so peaceful and private also great to have the Pizza Oven and Spa. Kiki was a wonderful host — clear communication and made sure everything was perfect for my stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

I am beyond grateful for the extraordinarily beautiful home and the extra mile the hosts go to ensure a comfortable and safe stay. A weather event tried to hinder our setting but we were so safe and very secure. They gave us use of a vehicle to access the property safely. Breakfast was supplied for us and it was better than a continental buffet. With everything coming from local sources. Cant say enough to express our gratitude. That spa though.....OMG 😍 so good. Could have slept in there. Highly recommend. Im definitely booking again.

Sheryl and Ian were very warm and friendly hosts with good recommendations for local coffee and places of interest. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and loved the cute cabin details, books and artwork. The outdoor kitchen was adequate for cooking meals and the spa added a nice touch of relaxing luxury.

I enjoyed my stay, extremely quiet being miles off a main road. water views with a friendly host allowing you access to all of the rural land.

Diane’s place was absolutely lovely! The service was above and beyond, the place was nice and cosy. It was super convenient being right off the highway, but so quiet you couldn’t tell. Beautiful fruit trees on the property. The hosts were available and friendly but also gave us our space.

We had a wonderful stay at Karen’s cabin. The place was spotless, cozy, and perfect for the two of us. We especially loved the peaceful surroundings and the beautiful view through the large windows — it was exactly the quiet escape we were looking for. The location was also ideal, just a short drive to town and the beach. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft; it was the perfect place to unwind & relax. The outdoor bath and bbq were a big hit and the kitchen was well stocked to allow us to cook a nice dinner each night. Our puppy had lots of fun running around the fenced property and exploring! Thank you!

The continental breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed the rustic vibe with the decor and beautiful surroundings on the farm. We would love to come back. Really enjoyed our stay at Clive’s place. He was a great host with lots of good recommendations. Pataua south is a beautiful location and we hope to be back. Cabin was just what we needed and very tidy. Perfect spot for a dog and the beach is only 10m outside of your own private gate!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at Tania's place. The rural location was easy to find and a quick 10-12 minute trip into the centre of Whangarei where our conference was being held. Everything was clean, lovely linen, comfy beds and when we needed an extra something that wasn't there, Tania quickly delivered it to us with a friendly smile. When we come back to Whangarei we'll definitely book again, thanks so much Tania 🤩

We loved our stay, beautiful surroundings and nice to get to explore them with the kayaks and paddle boards available. Belinda and her husband were above and beyond hosts, will definitely be back!

We were instantly at home in this lovely little cabin. Everything we needed was available including a very well organized/stocked kitchen. I have a background in natural nutrition and really appreciated the homemade yoghurt and sourdough. It was the best I have ever had. The fresh fruits were grown right on the property. It is a truly idyllic spot amongst the native plants, birds and farm animals nearby. I can’t say enough. I managed to do some yoga out on the deck went to the beach and met a Captain Cook pig in the same day! Feeling grateful for the chance to stay here. With a full heart we are headed home.

Perfect for an escape from the city. Countryside views were gorgeous, the home was fit with everything we needed, and very warm and cosy. Check in was super easy and friendly hosts.

A beautiful place to stay, we loved it! Just a shame that we only stayed for one night. We loved waking up to see the animals and it was incredibly peaceful. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.
