Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Wairarapa

Lovely spacious house in rural setting close to town. Comfortable and extra cosy with fireplace roaring. Well equipped kitchen. Great outdoor spaces to relax in the sun with a lovely outlook. Bonus to be able to have our dog with us. Carol is friendly and also responded quickly when we have a couple of queries. Short drive to Henley Lake which is a great dog friendly area to run and walk.

We are also grateful to you for getting the fire place going late afternoon when we returned from our excursion on Saturday afternoon. An absolutely perfect and peaceful getaway with thoughtful additions on arrival - fresh bread, fruit and eggs. Stunning country views, spacious living and outside deck area, complete with a BBQ, this spot is just what you need to get away for a few days. Thanks, Jill. We had the most amazing stay! We are so happy we chose Little Paradise for our special getaway - it was perfect in every way. The house and the surrounds are immaculate, very well presented, so cosy, and everything high quality from the linen to the appliances. Would stay again in a heartbeat! What a gem of an apartment. The art deco building and tasteful furnishings were lovely. It was super spacious (perfect for a group) from the main lounge to the covered in sun porch to the roof garden - there was something for everyone. It felt like a real treat to stay in. Especially with the little touches like the hand cream, coffee machine with the beans supplied and bowl of lollies. Thanks Di for a great weekend. We’ll be back!

Sally's apartment was perfect for our four night stay. Great location, which was surprisingly quiet at night for sleeping. Convenient parking spot right outside the front door. Beautifully furnished and spacious living area. Bedroom/ensuite comfortable with good space for luggage and good sized wardrobe. Washing machine and dryer were appreciated too. Would book again for sure.

This was a great little getaway over a long weekend. Cozy with the wood fire and spa pool. Easy location to drive and explore the many trails in the area. Yummy loaf of wheat bread was perfect for breakfast/snacking. Thank you for hosting such a great accommodation in Ohakune!

The Toi Too apartment is very cozy and private. Easy walking distance to martinborough town center. The spa was definitely a highlight!

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous villa. The little touches were most appreciated, we loved being able to relax in front of the fireplace enjoying a drink and a sweet treat while flicking through a beautiful book chosen from the huge range on the wall of books! The check in details were given ahead of time and were very clear. We would love to visit this amazing area again and if we did we would certainly look to stay in this tranquil haven again.

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The place was warm and cosy, with lots to do and space to spread out. Sarah was lovely to deal with - clear communication and instructions.

Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

We are a family of 4 who had just moved to Wellington from overseas. We stayed here for 2.5 months. Place was a great set up. Lovely to live in. Close to things and was a cute little character home. Price was great considering it was a long stay and the owners were so supportive of us. Heating was fantastic. Was definitely our favourite airbnb out of the 4 we stayed in during our wellington time. Best value for money. And it had car parking on site - so important. Could fit 2 cars there!!! Would recommend. Plus they gave us a fold out bed so we could sleep our 2 kids in the second bedroom. Very grateful for this airbnb helping us out whilst we found permanent accommodation!

This house is amazing - perfect for several couples, with plenty of space, including a great kitchen and several living areas. Nicki made us feel very welcome by lighting the woodburner before our arrival and leaving several lights on (most appreciated). The location is superb only a few minutes to great coffee. I would highly recommend this place and would like to rebook in the future.

I feel so lucky to get to stay in a charming home like this. It was so gorgeous and warm and well equipped. The linen was lovely. The fireplace was waiting to be lit. We loved the garden and outdoor spaces. It was such a treat.
