Welcome to Moose Mansion, our peaceful A-Frame escape sitting just off the North Fork of the Colorado River. We're just minutes from the historic downtown Grand Lake, the East entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, hunting, fishing, world-class snowmobiling, sailing, SO MANY MOOSE, and much more. We renovated the cabin to bring all the comforts of home to our "home away from home" in the mountains. Our family has made many memories here, and we're hopeful you'll be able to do the same.

Brand New Cabin at Rocky Mountain National Park

Entire brand new, modern & bright cabin. We lost the cabin in 2020 in one of the largest wildfires in Colorado history, and just finished rebuilding. What we lost from the seclusion of trees, we gained in 360 degree views of Kawuneeche Valley & Rocky Mountain National Park. Nature has rebounded quickly & you will see abundant wildlife grazing the meadow, with moose and elk visiting daily. You can snowmobile/ATV from cabin to trails in less than 10 min. 4WD/AWD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in Winter.

Welcome to the 5th Street Hideout The 5th street hideout is a relaxed getaway where you can leave your worries behind. 5th Street because the street location and hideout because we are hidden outside town and at the same time conveniently walking distance into town. We want to make sure you have privacy from the city noise & traffic and have a great view of the mountains to the east, without being secluded from the amenities and services the town offers. This historic yet modern 500 square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway for us and wanted others to share this experience too. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to the Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire.

Yampa Blue Tiny Home is a cozy, modern 1 bedroom, 1 bath with high vaulted ceilings, natural light & a back patio looking out to the mountainside. This modern tiny home is perfect for a single or couple. It has a queen bed & dining area table. It is in close proximity to a community BBQ, yard games & campfire in the summer. This cabin has a small kitchenette for simple cooking. Feel free to bring your cooler, camp stove and a bag of ice. Kick back and keep it simple.

Whistle Pig Retreat @ 22 West

Adjacent to Routt National Forest and the Zirkel Wilderness. Nestled in the aspen and pines with private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski and snowshoe. 4wd or AWD preferred travel in winter. The Marmots, will often make an appearance. Wildlife abounds, moose, deer, elk pronghorn, bear, wolf and fox as well as many species of bird call this special place home. The spacious deck overlooks the forest and the mountains as well as the warm water ponds.

High Country Hideaway - Cozy 2 BR on Main Street

It’s hiding in plain sight! This isn’t an office, it’s your High County Hideaway, with the fastest WiFi in Routt County, two bedrooms, a bathroom with a pipin’ hot shower, and access to the fine amenities of Oak Creek. There’s a pull out couch and an air mattress just in case. Have a stay in real cowboy country, away from the condos in Steamboat, but less than half an hour from the slopes.
