Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Walker County

Our family really enjoyed Lynn’s place. The house was very clean and there was more than enough room for the 6 of us. We caught fish right off the dock and also swam and kayaked. The dock was fun and relaxing, the deck was peaceful and comfy. We had people of all ages 16 to 66 and everyone had a blast. Thank you Lynn.

What a fantastic place! Perfect location on the water. Easy sloping yard down to the water with NO STAIRS! The house was in perfect condition and had everything we needed. We loved the place so much we have already booked a return trip for this summer!

Beautiful Home. Very comfortable beds. It was great to have King beds in the guest rooms. Plenty of room with two spacious living areas. The driveway is very steep, but it was worth it to keep from walking so many stairs to the lake. If you are planning to cook and are not used to cast iron cooking I would recommend bringing a few pots as there was only one on hand. There was also no microwave if you are used to heating your leftovers that way. Overall, great vacation with family and friends. Would lease this beautiful home again.

We literally stumbled upon Jacob’s place due to a last minute cancellation through AirBnB by our previous host! We had planned this trip since September 2024 and were devastated! Jacob’s place filled our void completely! It is such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and cove! The boathouse/dock alone was worth the booking. The kayaks were great and we had a jet ski dock that was super convenient. Jumping off of the top of the boathouse was our favorite pastime! The jacuzzi on the lower back deck was our second favorite pastime. It was so nice and relaxing. The house is older, but has so much charm. The bedrooms with bunks were awesome! (And I need to know what type of mattress is on the larger bed in the upstairs bunk room because that was the best sleep I’ve had in weeks!) The open area in the living room, kitchen, dining area is ideal for entertaining. The fact that every room and the outside jacuzzi area has televisions is superb! We have already considered rebooking!

Wonderful place to relax! The home is beautifully decorated and well equipped for a comfortable stay! Downstairs room is perfect for my teenagers And plenty of comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the views and scenery! We will definitely be back! Gigi and John were very helpful and responsive during our stay! Thank you.

This place was beautiful and very peaceful. We brought our two dogs who had the best time in their fenced in porch. Tim and his family were also very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

We gathered with our adult children and grandchildren at this large and beautiful house. The setting was so peaceful. The house is as described in the photos and listing, and the large dock was a highlight of this place, which offered shade as well. The outside area is the best part of this house with 2 large decks and a screened gazebo. We appreciated having two large tables close to each other (one inside and one in the screened porch) to accommodate our large group. The only issue we had was that the internet connection was spotty, which could be a combination of too many devices and being down the side of the hill. Cell phone service was non-existent; you would need to travel closer to the main road to make a call. The galley kitchen is tight, and the refrigerator is cabinet depth, which makes it smaller, but we made it work. The property manager, Stephanie, was fantastic. She communicated quickly and was very helpful. Overall, we had a great time.

The house was beautiful. Extremely clean and comfortable. The beds were exceptionally nice. My family had an awesome stay. The cozy cottage had everything you need to feel right at home. Beautiful location and view. The double decker pier was terrific, and allowed us to utilize and stay on the lake and outside longer. The large patio is perfect for relaxing, reading, or taking a nap. We ate dinner every night outside. We hope to come back again and again for our annual lake trips.

the condo was beautiful, clean, spacious and the perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary! can't wait to go back! the host was responsive to me within minutes of reaching out to her. 5 stars for sure!!

Jennifer was a great host. The condo was very clean, well stocked and has great views. The boat slip is very convenient and central to anything in Arley.

Condo needs updating and some maintenance but it was a great stay Loved the ground floor for easy access. The condo was very clean Easy checkout.
