Holiday rentals with beach access in Westmoreland County

My wife and I enjoyed our long weekend at your apartment very much. It was my wife's college reunion weekend, and this apartment was a great place in which to access everything. Great historic building that has been renovated in a very responsible manner.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful view, very peaceful. Sitting on the dock and watching the sunset became a favorite past time. Mary was so kind to allow us to use her patio to have my son over for food and games. It was a truly lovely stay. More amenities than any place I'd been to before. My only note was that the curtains in the primary bedroom are just sheer cloth, so the sun comes in at 5 am to wake you up, but that can be remedied with a mask, and changing in the bathroom was fine for me. The view is mostly wooded, so I wasn't concerned much about people seeing in, but I wasn't comfortable changing at night with the light on. The other thing to note is that the bedroom door does not lock from the outside, and there is access to the downstairs apartment from the house upstairs. It did not bother me, I took my purse when I left and didn't have anything to lock up anyway. Honestly this is a 5 star place to stay, and the little things are just that.

Loved this location! So close to great beaches and close enough to drive quickly to local restaurants. Plus the food truck right outside was a plus! Definitely get the ice cream!

We first came here six months ago for a quiet getaway from the kids, and we liked it so much we knew we’d be back. This time was just as wonderful. The place is spotless, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. The view of the bay is absolutely stunning—calm, quiet, and the perfect backdrop for unwinding. The hosts are warm and welcoming, and the space has everything you need for a comfortable and refreshing stay. If you’re looking for a serene escape with beautiful scenery and thoughtful touches, this is the place. We’re already planning our next visit.

Our second time here! An absolutely adorable gem of an Airbnb with the nicest hosts and most beautiful garden and dock on the River! Great restaurant recommendations, super comfortable beds, and lovely living room. Perfect for families visiting the beloved St. Mary’s River.

Great place with fantastic views of the Potomac . Close to many dining options within walking distance. We went for a Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. I highly recommend.

Just returned from a wonderful restful stay! Melanie is a wonderful host and made sure we had an amazing time! We asked about kitchen items and she went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed to make a nice meal on our first night after a long drive! We enjoyed kayaking from her private dock and she was very responsive and friendly! This is our second stay and won’t be our last! Thank you!

Sheila was a great host! She greeted us upon arrival, and left lots of helpful signage and instructions around the place, along with many recommendations for local restaurants and things to do during our stay. Gerry was also very friendly! This location was the cleanest airBNB we have ever stayed at. Although our stay was short, we had a great one! Check in and check out were also very easy. We would definitely stay at Sheila’s location again! It gave us the perfect location to do some fossil hunting and see some of Maryland’s beaches, and whenever we feel like doing more of that, we will be back!

The location on the Potomac River is stunningly beautiful and relaxing. Craig was super responsive and helpful. The large lot next to the house is special. We had so much room for activities and spent all of our time outside next to the river. It was like having our own personal park on the water. The dock is also a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty.

Andrea was so responsive from day 1 when I had questions about the house! We had 10 people in town for a wedding and her house was only 3 miles from the venue which was ideal! The house was clean and had nice little extra touches; the bottom floor was surprisingly spacious and perfect for hanging out! And the hot tub was a nice add also! Overall, it was a great experience!

We enjoyed our stay at Jan's cottage. Very clean, spacious and very good amenities. Jan was very responsive and informative on local places to visit/eat. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Just what we needed to have a relaxing weekend. Will visit again, Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful vacation here. Although it rained during our stay, we found the treehouse to be a great place just for listening the rain drops and having some inner peace.

Kelly and Thomas were amazing host. Very responsive and accommodating The home was very clean and the location was great.. 10/10. Definitely would book again!

Both Dan and Scott could not have been better hosts. This is our 2nd year in a row staying at the Sunnyside Up cottage and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The cottage is quaint and clean. It is fully stocked and has everything you could need for a few nights stay. The communication was excellent and the instructions were very clear for checking in and out. We will definitely return for another stay in the future. The best part about the Sunnyside Up cottage are the views of the river! They are gorgeous!!

Great location to walk to the attractions at Colonial Beach! The outdoor seating was awesome for our family to unwind in the evening. The WiFi was excellent for us to work from home during the day.

The views are amazing!! Water view from main bedroom, living room, dining area AND kitchen. Plenty of space for every one. The bedrooms are very roomy. Host was very responsive and flexible with check in/check out. I highly recommend!
