Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Whitstable Harbour

Just back from a short stay. We loved it. Thank you to Erica and Pete for allowing us to share your home. We will certainly be back.

A wonderful place to stay in town: bright and airy. Very close to all the shops, restaurants, with a great pub at the end of the road. Caroline was a wonderful host: the house was kitted out with everything we needed. We had a lovely stay.

Communication with Caroline before booking & running up to our stay was quick, straightforward and clear. We loved her place; comfortable and extremely well equipped. The location was great too - we pitched up on the first day and managed to get a space in the street only a few doors down, and from then on we didn’t use the car until we departed; it’s very easy to walk to the high street (literally at the bottom of the road - a 2 min walk) and the coast (a further 3 min) and the train station (a 9 min walk). Loved Whitstable itself, and we were so lucky with the weather too. Thank you Caroline.

We would highly recommend. We had such a lovely weekend away at Fleur’s place. A very homely place with everything you need and short stroll from the train station and to the seafront. It was also great with a little one. Great communication throughout. Thank you !

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely holiday home in St. Margaret’s at Cliffe. The place was spotless upon arrival and immediately felt warm and welcoming. The view was absolutely stunning — waking up to such a breathtaking panorama each morning was a real treat. The kitchen was very well-equipped with everything I needed to cook comfortably, and the cozy living room was the perfect spot to relax in the evenings. Overall, a fantastic stay — I would definitely love to come back!

We had a wonderful time at the home with its beautiful, cosy, interior making us all feel right at home from the beginning! The excellent location made everything so easily accessible, and Helen had so many great recommendations of things to do it made our trip even better than we hoped. Great value, great place, great host!

Lovely place to stay, loved the bedrooms that were different styles. Close to Whitstable and the use of the private lake was a nice bonus as we do paddled boarding. Perfect 👌

Ben and Katie’s cottage is a home from home, beautifully curated and very easy to feel relaxed. Ben’s clear instructions and quick responses made checking and settling in very straightforward. Very good local recommendations too. The location is perfect being only minutes walk from wonderful independent shops and restaurants and an easy walk to the beach. I travelled by train and it was only 10 minutes walk to the cottage. I also used the bus to travel to Canterbury which was direct and very good service. My daughter and 5 year old granddaughter joined me for part of my stay and also really enjoyed the cottage.

We had the most amazing stay at Paula’s flat. She had thought of everything for both us and our dogs! The flat is beautifully decorated with so many quirky bits and pieces to look at. Thanks for the dog treats and the yummy caramel shortcakes, a lovely touch too. Loved Whitstable too….. we can’t wait to come back very soon😊

I was so impressed with this apartment, it was spotless, well located, fantastic sea view! It’s a short walk from the station, on the sea front. The kitchen is well equipped and there was ice in the freezer! Highly recommend.

Reviewing on behalf of my son Will- they were delighted with Helen’s place. All as described, great inside, good location and on street parking- in Whitstable, a real bonus! Helen shared a lovely pub recommendation which they enjoyed, responded quickly and was very helpful with arranging check in as convenient. Helen also retrieved a very eagerly anticipated artisan brownie for them that had got left behind!😊

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Lovely and peaceful, beautiful decor and a great base for exploring the local area. The sea view and sunsets were wonderful - we'd highly recommend!

Daniel and Erica's place is lovely, we stayed two nights with kids and it was a perfect base for exploring Whitstable, walking into town down the Crab and Winkle Way each day. They were super responsive, friendly and flexible, sending loads of great recommendations that were tailored to us (we came on the train so they gave great walking / cycling tips!). The flat is spacious, calm, comfortable, clean and homely - a welcome retreat from the busy centre of Whitstable. Highly recommended.

Found Helen to be a lovely sociable host , directions were great , communications and information on places to eat and other stuff we asked for was very very helpful. We paid a bit more than normal for the room as it was May Day Bank Holiday Weekend and also there was a Peter Cushing Convention on in town , but we were happy to pay this price not a problem at all as we knew from the start how much it was , and please remember anybody who reads this ok they may charge higher this time of year but please remember the times when they may struggle in bad months winter etc , bad weather etc etc - so no complaints about the charge at all. The place was spotless , clean , relaxing , appliances in kitchen , tv and dvd (never really got time to use them as out all the time - but for anyone else this would be ideal , also board games etc. Bathroom was the highlight - massive with a free standing bath and a massive shower ie you are not struggling to move - fantastic. Beds where very comfy.

Just returned from a really lovely couple of days at Windy CornerCottage. Location is fabulous. Easy to find and parking very easy in the space provided. Sea front 1 minute walk, nearest shop 5 minutes. Plenty of pubs restaurants coffee shops within easy walking distance including co op and Sainsbury’s local. Windy Corner cafe is on the ground floor below the flat great for a snack or coffee. Despite proximity to everything location is wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The apartment itself is very comfortable and homely. Slept brilliantly in the double bed. Didn’t use the twin room but it looked very comfortable too. Bathroom was clean with lovely walk in shower and kitchen/ living room comfortable and clean. We did not cook or use washing machine so cannot comment on these. Communication was great from the minute we made the booking. We collected and returned keys to the cafe who couldn’t have been more helpful but there is also a lockbox if needed. Overall experience faultless.

We had a lovely stay, the flat is in a great location close to the beach and the local amenities. Everything about Melissa’s place was excellent. Thank you, we hope to return very soon!

Stayed at Beth's place while in Whitstable for a wedding at the castle. It was super close to the castle itself, 15 minutes or so to the main shopping streets, and 5 minutes to the beach. The house itself is really clean and has everything you could need and more. It felt very homey and I think it is actually nicer in person than in the photos! Beth was also really responsive and everything was easy and well explained. A really great stay!

The host, Norman, was just so easy to communicate with. He answered several questions that I asked and provided the information that I needed. You are so close to the beautiful walking path along the ocean. The village has many shops and along the path near his place are markets to hike through and eat at. You have a lot of space with large ceilings.

We wrapped up an incredible three-week road trip through the UK with a two-night stay at Tom’s charming coach house flat—and it was the perfect finale. This beautifully appointed second-floor, two-bedroom retreat was ideally situated, just a short and scenic walk (less than 0.8 miles) from the heart of the Old City and the Canterbury Cathedral. With restaurants and groceries conveniently located within three blocks, and every imaginable amenity thoughtfully provided within the flat—including on-property parking and breakfast essentials awaiting us—it exceeded all expectations. The comfort, location, and attention to detail made for an unforgettable stay in Canterbury. Now I truly understand why this Airbnb is so “highly rated”! Tom’s hospitality was exceptional—helpful, informative, and always clear in his communication. A truly lovely experience from start to finish.

I really enjoyed my stay at Tara's flat. Exactly as described, with everything you need for your stay, the flat was very clean and well maintained. Easily walkable into the city centre, and handy for the wider Kent area too. Would definitely stay again.

Heather, Terry & Helen went above and beyond to help and make sure our booking was a success Piglet’s Penthouse is beautiful, with lovely little touches and attention to detail. The location is perfect and access to the harbour really easy. It was the perfect short break and we would absolutely come back if we can!

It was a privilege to stay in Teresa’s lovely seaside flat. From the moment I walked in the door of this bright, cozy and beautifully decorated flat it felt like I was entering someone’s home, not a typical rental unit. It was clean, well outfitted and decorated, with the most incredible view of the sea. I would most definitely recommend and hope to return myself on future visits. Thank you, Teresa!

The views from the apartment are absolutely amazing, particularly at sunset on the balcony. The little gifts were a lovely bonus to enjoy during our stay, and the kitchen is really well equipped too.
