Wonderful stay - Frank was very helpful and his place was peaceful safe and clean - everything myself and my elderly parents needed.

Our stay in the treehouse was absolutely delightful! The atmosphere was peaceful, surrounded by nature, which added to the cozy vibe. The interior was charming and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. I loved the little touches that made my experience special. I can’t wait to come back! This place truly deserves a perfect 10/10!

What a beautiful oasis 😍 peaceful, relaxing and a real cabin feel! We went there to do some wedding planning and were greeting by a beautiful personalized board and a bottle of wine. The hot tub was a huge hit as well, we braved it at night and it was a perfect addition to the forest feel of the cabin. Liesl could not have executed the interior design any better, evey time you look around you see a new small detail of thought and care. Cannot wait for our next trip to Knysna, we will definitely be back!

The missus and I both agree this is one of the most beautiful weekend getaways we’ve experienced, from the moment you open those doors the view takes your breath away. Truly an incredible sight. Early morning coffee in the jacuzzi watching the sunrise was probably the highlight for us. Definitely worth every penny.

Wonderful stay at one of the Safari Villas - would recommend! Made the mistake of only staying for 2 nights, should have stayed longer. Beautifully designed place with thoughtful details to make sure you have what you need to hand for a really enjoyable stay. Host was really responsive and very helpful, especially when we had trouble getting the hot tub going (which we did get hot in the end!) Do not miss out on the morning game drive to learn all about the place. Just wonderful.

Perfect spot if you have dogs and young kids. It was a perfect two night stay over between our longer stays. Close access to Plett and so many pristine forest trails.

this little gem nestled in the tranquil lush valley of the wilderness forest was fully equipped with added extras like candles; yoga mats; a beach umbrella; ground coffee; olive oil. being two creative beings, we appreciated the fun splashes of yellow around the cottage 💛 because of its remote location, mobile reception was very limited to non-existent so be prepared to disappear off the grid. perfect for a city-life detox.

I literally love everything about this charming place! The cottage is so cozy and the view out to the valley is so calming. The patio is in a class of its own, a fantastic birdlife unfolds right before your eyes and there is constant singing for those who appreciate nature, world class! Anel is everything you could want in a host in short! and she bakes absolutely amazing bread! I would love to stay longer here!

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful cottage for our family bringing along our two sausage dogs too. Beautiful and peaceful farm, we would have loved to stay longer.

It was simply perfect. We enjoyed our stay so much and especially receiving the most delicious choc chip buscuits, homemade apricot jam and coffee! Our fur baby also had a little surprise which was absolutely thoughtful. It was exactly what we wanted and so much more. Just bring some Tabard with you! But an absolute 10/10 😀

The stay was absolutely lovely, and i highly recommend. The place is exactly as advertised. Take note that the property has a really steep hill going towards the cabin, so if you have a normal car you might struggle getting up and down. But other than that it was lovely, with spectacular views.

Sunette's place had everything that we needed: inverter and lamps for load shedding, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, dstv premium package, nice fridge and freezer. We were three people and mainly used the upstairs area with two bedrooms, bathroom with toilet and shower and a second toilet and basin. The main bedroom has a superb sea and beach view. The living area upstairs is well equiped with kitchen, dining tables and lounge area. The balcony has a magnificent sea view from Herolds bay to Mosselbay. Dolphins pass by daily, and the sunsets are beautiful. The downstairs area has two bedrooms, both with sea view and doors opening onto the stoep. Downstairs has a small living area, bathroom, the washing machine and dryer, as well as a small fridge and coffee station. The two areas can function independently with the stairs on the outside of the house. This makes the house suitable for two families sharing, or a group of friends, or family with teenage or adult children.

The cabin is in prime location between the tree top where the Knysna Lorie's and other bird life keep you company. The cabin is beautiful and cozy. We enjoyed the indoors fire place and main bedroom overlooking the amazing forest views. The beds are very comfortable with good linen. Highly recommend!

If heaven was a place on earth, this would be it! Brilliantly kitted out with everything you would need for a getaway in nature. Thoughtful touches, such as milk in the fridge for that cup of tea on arrival, firewood ready for the cosy indoor fireplace, and ice in the freezer for that evenings glass of wine. Nestled in nature with the Gouna forest around the corner waiting to be explored be it on foot or by bicycle, makes for a convenient location. The on-site little restaurant makes a killer cup of coffee and a scrumptious breakfast. Definitely one of my favourite places to go.

The most incredible view from the house right over Victoria Bay. A real treat ! Completely 'off the beaten track' and very private within a secure nature reserve. About a 15 minute drive to George from the Nature Reserve - but one would think you were far away from a busy town. Very peaceful and quiet. On reading the description for the cottage on AirBnB, one is not made aware that it's quite a drive along a paved country road , with quite steep ascents, to reach the cottage. I was , relieved to be driving a high clearance 4x4 SUV; however, a sedan driven carefully in 1st gear would be fine. The road to cottage is best driven during daylight hours. I recommend that you do all your shopping as well as stocking up on firewood , firelighters and matches before you drive to the cottage. Comfortable furnishings, Wifi, delightful fireplace, washing machine, dishwasher and plunge pool with a view. I highly recommend this delightful cottage - go on an adventure- it's totally worth it

Absolutely wonderful weekend in the wilderness. The house is absolutely stunning and the pics do not do it justice. The views are incredible and house perfectly equipped. We loved our stay - look no further and book this spot!

This is a beautifully secluded location providing wonderful views and complete peace. We watched a variety of wildlife from our veranda while eating breakfast. Dan took us on two long drives around the enormous and varied reserve and he was informative and helpful throughout. The accommodation surpassed what we were expecting and we loved the whole experience.

The place is extremely nice and the Forrest outside gives you a wilderness feel. It’s a very calm area and the host is super friendly and gives good instructions.

This was our 2nd stay at Davide's place - and it was just as wonderful as the 1st time! Balot's Bay is really unique - we love the walking trails and the peace and quiet. Davide is such a generous host - well stocked coffee station, wood for the fire place, lovely pantry, just to name a few! The house is amazing- it's our favourite Air B&B! We've made so many great memories as a family here- can't wait to return and make more!!
