We had a brief but very relaxing and peaceful stay here. Jun and Kimi are lovely people and the whole place has their kind and warm energy within it. Jun has some fascinating historical facts to share on the area if you are interested, and Kimi makes stunning crystal jewellery. Highlights were their delicious food, the gentle ambient music playing, the beautiful view to the lake from the dining room, the private bath with pure spring water from nearby and the comfy pillows. Only downside was that the mattresses were a little on the thin side for us but I would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you both for a very memorable stay.

From the moment we arrived, we felt the “peace” that this place is named after. The traditional Japanese sleeping rooms and the untouched, pure nature embraced us right away. The two hosts, Jun (who also offers tours to explore the surrounding shrines and learn more about the local history – which we joined and highly recommend) and Kimi, took care of us with genuine warmth and authenticity. The dinner was also incredibly delicious and authentically Japanese. In the evening you can enjoy the private onsen with Fuji spring water - a very soothing, healing experience. All in all – a clear 10/10, especially for those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life and tourism. This place offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, disconnect, and experience the mystical side of Japan. Transportation to and from the accommodation was well organized – we were kindly driven by the hosts. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality – we’ll definitely be back!

Mama-San and Papa-San are some of the best people I’ve met. They are very kind and very personable. I felt like I was at home or at my grandparents house. They gave me great recommendations on things to do in the area. They treated us like family. I would go back in a heartbeat. They also have great food

The Manazuru Peninsula, the westernmost peninsula of Kanagawa Prefecture, is a port town called Amalfi in Italy, which is also a World Heritage Site, and has many similarities such as the overall structure of the terrain, architecture, climate, and food culture, and is also called “Amalfi of the East.” This cabin is a 5-minute walk to the sea, and there are 4 rooms on the premises in a bungalow building, and you can use the entire building according to the number of people.Since there is also a cooking space, it is also recommended to stay in the medium and long term. Enjoy seasonal nature such as rock climbing, fishing, hiking in the forest, and various activities such as rock climbing and surfing in the neighboring town of Yugawara. 7 stops to Hakone, 2 stops to Atami.Based here in Manazuru, you can also go sightseeing in the Izu/Hakone area. There are a lot of delicious fish in the port town of Manazuru!Please enjoy the seafood of the mountains in the rich nature.

Great value onsen hotel. Smarter than the photos or price lead you to think. I stayed in a Japanese style room, which was very spacious. It had its own balcony, a separate seating area by the windows with fridge and teapots, mugs, etc, and a large living / sleeping space. There is an ensuite toilet and sink but the shower is in the onsen on the first floor. I received detailed check in instructions for self check in but there was a receptionist there between 4-11pm on the days I stayed so they checked me in when I arrived. The hotel is located up a hill. This means it is peaceful with super views down the mountain to the sea. However, unless you have a car you will probably rely on the local bus. It is every 40 mins and is very reliable. It departs from across the road from Kinomiya station at 14, 54 and 34 mins past the hour and drops you about 2-3 mins walk from the hotel. It is the number 11 to Ainohara. You can also pick it up from Atami station.
