A simple yet rich rural life that has continued since the Edo period!

Spend a relaxing time with friends around the Irori fireplace. You can enjoy the Goemon bath, kamado, and old-fashioned slow life while feeling the season with the wind and sky patterns (there is a cassette stove, IH heater, and shower). You can also cook with a wood stove and BBQ outdoors. 10 minutes by car from Izumo City Station. Izumo Taisha is 25 minutes away. There is also a hot spring nearby. The 20 tatami mat Japanese-style room is a private bedroom, and the kitchen and toilet are shared. There is a design office in the warehouse, and I work from 8:30 am to 6 pm on weekdays. You can also use the thatched cottage with a good view. There is also air conditioning, but in the summer, if you open the veranda and hang a mosquito net, the summer night breeze will invite you to sleep comfortably. From spring to autumn, you can hear the nostalgic sounds of frogs, cicadas, and bell crickets. If you are unfamiliar with charcoal or fire, I can help you if the timing is right. Firewood is free, but please bring your own BBQ charcoal if you use the sunken hearth. It is 1.6 km to the supermarket and 5 km to Izumo Station. It feels good to walk or jog along the Tanabe-michi Road and Kawato-te in the early morning. Please keep pets on the dirt floor. In July and August, please pick blueberries from the garden.

All-you-can-use sauna, private rental, old private house

This is a single-family kominka (traditional Japanese house) for rent, lovingly renovated by owner JP, a true DIY enthusiast, who envisioned his ideal lifestyle while bringing new life to this 150-year-old property. The most unique feature of this inn is its one-of-a-kind “egg sauna.” This is a fully DIY sauna, developed entirely by JP from design to production, featuring a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Enjoy a sauna experience you can only have here, surrounded by the gentle warmth of a wood-burning stove. Inside the room, there is also an irori (traditional hearth) characteristic of a traditional Japanese house. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as enjoying a hot pot or grilling skewers while sitting around the irori (traditional hearth). *Please bring your own ingredients and cooking utensils, such as skewers. The inn is located in a quiet hamlet called Kobusa, nestled among the mountains in Misasaki, Okayama Prefecture. Right nearby is Nishi-Awakura Village, which is gaining attention as a village focused on regional revitalization and attracting new residents, and which offers a scenic, nature-rich satoyama landscape. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by nature and handcrafted warmth.

Enjoy the luxury of “quiet relaxation” on a 2,300-square-meter (700-tsubo) property. Enjoy a relaxing stay at the foot of Mt. Daisen

[A sense of freedom, cut off from the outside world] Once you step inside, you enter a different world protected by a 700 tsubo (2,300 m²) property. The hustle and bustle of the city does not reach here; all you can hear is the sound of the pleasant breeze blowing down from Mt. Oyama and the birds singing. A luxurious space where no one will disturb you will gently envelop you. [The sounds and scents of nature that soothe the soul] Be soothed by the scent of wood unique to Japanese houses, and listen carefully to the sound of fallen leaves being trodden in the garden. Admiring the flowers that bloom with each season, the unadorned beauty of nature gently calms the mind, which has been shaken by the busyness of daily life. ["Enjoying the moment in tranquility"] For us, "tranquility" is not just about spending time quietly. It means accepting the emotional ups and downs of everyday life as they are and enjoying the present moment. Cooking with local ingredients, soaking in a large bath, and regaining your own rhythm. This kind of enjoyment is the real pleasure of staying at Oyado Konami. There are also optional services that you can choose to add. These include a hot pot set with local ingredients, indoor wear, and a BBQ set. Instagram @oyadokonami
