Monthly Rentals in Zama

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah's place in Yamato. I would highly recommend this rental and we plan to stay here again on our next visit. There were many reasons why this is an Airbnb we will return to again. Sarah was a wonderful host, she met us at the Yamato train station, walked us to the apartment, and showed us how to access the gate and door. She also gave us a quick, helpful orientation on how to use things throughout the apartment and answered any questions we had promptly. The unit is perfectly set up for visitors. Everything is clearly labeled in Japanese and English so it eliminated the guesswork on how to operate the washing machine, etc. It had all the amenities we would need for a long stay including a welcome basket filled with coffee, tea and snacks which was a very nice touch after arriving from a long haul flight. It is large by Japanese standards and had plenty of space for our family of four. The location was perfect for us - near our family.

It is a very comfortable, stylish and lovely home that shows the good taste and personality of the owner.I was able to enjoy a relaxing bath while looking at the courtyard, and I was able to spend time away from everyday life in the living room and bedroom. Upon arrival, they prepared bread to welcome us, and since we were hungry, it was very helpful. It made for a good memory.

Yuko’s place is where you stay when you want a slow and peaceful Japan experience. If you are a lover of the outdoors, you won’t run out of parks and trails to explore. The bus that connects to the nearest station is literally just a few steps away. But know that the transfer to and from various major issues will require several train and bus rides. But since Japan’s transpo system is top notch, its really not much of a pain. The place itself is gorgeous, the small terrace outside the room is perfect for sipping your morning coffee while listening to all the summer chirps and buzz. The bed was comfy enough for me but maybe Im just not used to a duvet. I was able to do some light cooking in the well provisioned kitchen. Of course as is standard in Tokyo, homes are on the smaller side but I had more than enough space as a solo traveler with one big luggage. Finally, Yuko is such a sweet and helpful host who is always available to answer queries and provide recommendations. 😊

A very quiet stay not too far from Yokohama. Taro and Eri are great hosts, and the unit is spotless. They're very communicative, and they're flexible with check-in time. Getting to the unit from Chogo Station with a bag is difficult if walking, but it's a pretty quick and cheap taxi ride. The back porch is covered and a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Chogo Station is about 20 minute walk down/uphill but it's a beautiful walk and not a chore to do - plus, the nearby convenience store and drug store have nearly everything you need. For complete groceries, a quick ride one stations way to Shonandai is not too terrible to do. This unit is a great place to stay for an extended period - it's quiet, not too far from everything, and most importantly comfortable. I'd definitely look to stay the next time I'm in Kanagawa.
