Beach house holiday rentals in Zanzibar Island

2 weeks in this house was really peaceful and nice. The general manager Mudy and also Anna were very proactive. The house is situated in a very quiet environment and we could walk 15 minutes to Kendwa beach. Otherwise we took moto taxis. I really recommand this place

Stayed 9 nights with my husband (June 2025). Great communication. Got collected at the airport by Suileman (sorry if spelling is wrong!)..we had a hire car so husband followed us behind..would be very hard to find otherwise. We were greeted by Said and Josephine with fresh coconuts... the house is just like the photos. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful gardens and clean pool with incredible views. Incredibly clean..bedrooms were gorgeous as was the bathrooms. Everything you may need was included. Staff were so helpful. Said took my husband out to show us where to buy bread. There are 2 local supermarkets...very expensive and mostly sold UK products! Air-conditioning upstairs but not down..I was incredibly hot. There are fans but still humid and hot. All in all..a fantastic holiday. The beach by villa isn't the best..very rocky..but beautiful views from patio area. Watch out for bugs and lizards.. but that's Africa! A truly memorable holiday. We will return one day. Easy 5 stars.

Ernst is a very good gatsgeber . He responds immediately and always helps. Everything is very well organized. He has arranged the help on site very well. There is always a contact person there. Maybe think about an emergency power unit......The house is located directly on the beach , just a few steps to the sea. Absolutely quiet location. Thank you very much for the nice time there.

Our stay at the villa was perfect, we enjoyed all the peace and quiet that the villa offers. Everything you need is within walking distance (beach, restaurants, bar, etc.), where you are greeted warmly by the locals every time, as if you have been living there for years. This is a little gem, hidden in a local area. Highly recommended.

This villa is a real gem! Perched facing the sea, it offers a breathtaking view - impossible to get tired of, we were literally hypnotized by the landscape. The pool with direct ocean view is a real treat, and access to a quiet and peaceful beach makes the place even more magical. A true haven of peace! Our room, facing the sea, was just splendid — waking up with a view, moments of serenity, perfect. A huge thank you to David, always super welcoming, available and responsive (you know we won't forget your help, really🙏). Special mention also to the chef: the dishes were delicious, and it's a real plus when you just want to enjoy the villa to the fullest without having to move. Great value for money! I spent my honeymoon here. For this occasion, the accommodation was really fantastic. You have absolute peace and quiet and can fully enjoy the time together. The staff were super nice and accommodating. Omar in particular was directly involved in implementing every wish. The only point is that reaching restaurants and beaches could only be done by taxi, which was costly in the long run. But we preferred that to staying in an overcrowded tourist area. Therefore, full recommendation for this accommodation

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this beautiful villa in Zanzibar. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting, stunning ocean views, and the warm hospitality of the host. The private pool was a dream, and we loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the complimentary breakfast on the spacious terrace each morning. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the meals prepared with local ingredients Highly recommended—we can't wait to return!

Fukuchani Inn is wonderful - the staff is pleasant, kind, and very willing to help with whatever you might need. Everyone was friendly and we had a wonderful stay. The Inn is right near the ocean, a quick little walk to a beautiful (albeit rocky) beach, and it's very close (about 15 mins) from Nungwi beach. And the pool is lovely! We stayed in the 2-bedroom Villa and it was perfect for my family, plenty of space and very clean. And of course I have to mention Daisy, the basset hound!! Such a friendly and good girl :) We would love to come back one day - overall, great stay :) Friendly reminder to travelers, Tanzania and Zanzibar often have power outages, and this includes A/C - but they only lasted a few mins each time, and the staff aims to provide as comfortable a stay as possible.

Fantastic location on the ocean, with fabulous views from all terraces and especially from the upper outside deck. Great open plan living space with views and spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms . The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and discreet, always there to greet and assist. The property and gardens are really well designed and have a great flow. Superb walks to the reefs at low tide. The remote location provides great privacy and relaxation, highly recommended. We will be back!

Our stay at this beautiful villa exceeded all expectations! The pristine, large pool and stunning property were truly impressive, but what really made our experience unforgettable was Barbara, the amazing host. She went above and beyond, even arranging our airport pick-up and drop-off, making everything so easy. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here – it’s a perfect getaway!

Me and my friends had such an amazing experience as our first time in zanzibar and staying at the waterfront staycation. The host Mundhir was the best!! He was so helpful and responsive and gave us everything we needed. His staff was amazing as well, the cook and our breakfast meals were always something to look forward to! From groceries and ordering food to even providing shisha and a trusted driver James! The accomodation was very comfortable and spacious and the pool was great. The only to keep in mind is that the area is secluded from the city but great for a relaxing staycation. Thank you so much to Mundhir and the team, wonderful experience and 10/10 would highly recommend!

Our stay in Uroa was wonderful. Emanuele put us in touch with his property manager who helped us with everything from airport transfers, setting up tours and even getting some medicine when some of our family came down with the flu. Uroa is a little bit remote in terms of amenities but that is what we were looking for. There are a few local restaurants within walking distance on the beach but not much more than that. We enjoyed walking the beach every day, swimming and wading out to the sand bar at low tide. There are also people/companies on the beach if you want to setup snorkeling tours or watersports. The caretaker and the housekeeper do a wonderful job keeping up the property and the housekeeper even made a few meals for us with the groceries we bought in Stonetown! The house was beautiful and in good repair. Beds were good and the pool was great to relax in. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay, just what we needed at the end of our trip to Tanzania!

loved this Airbnb, great location. shops around the corner and a great restaurant called rafikis chickies (who also deliver) beach is a 7-10 minute walk. the pool is super small, but fine for a quick dip to cool down. would be nice if main bedroom had AC as it gets hot, but the fan worked fine. the house is open and there was mosquitoes after 5pm so unless there was wind you can really sit outside and find yourself retreating to the bedroom for an early night. all in all. great place. we would stay again 👌

The stay with Kurtis was incredible. The place was absolutely beautiful (a real paradise). We truly felt at home. Kurtis was extremely responsive to everything we needed. We stayed for a month and worked remotely from the home with no problems at all. A great getaway for the digital nomad or someone wanting to disconnect from it all. 6 stars if I could give that. Yolanda is an amazing hostess. My travel companions and I were in a bind because we had issues with our other lodging reservations. Yolanda was able to accommodate our group last minute in her home and made sure we were all comfortable. Her home is beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you could need, the pool and backyard is beautiful, the water is hot and the ac works great. She is also located right in between Blue Safari and Stone Town which was very convenient for the activities we were looking to do without long transits. There are also restaurants and a grocery store within 5 min walking distance. Lastly her cleaning and managing team is very responsive and helpful as well. In short, Yolanda's home is one of the best airbnb's I've ever stayed in and she's one of the best hostess' I've ever had the pleasure of meeting with. I would recommend her and her place to anyone who is considering booking with her.

I've been staying here with some friends and we enjoyed every second there. The outdoor area was super comfy to chill and talk. When we arrived, Moudy waited for us and asked if we would like a small tour in the neighborhood. We accepted so he showed us a fast way to get to the beach, some restaurants and shops. He also organized our transports. Thank you Moudy - we will be back when the pool is here ;)

We were a little skeptical due to the most recent rather bad review. We booked anyway, as we were able to check in at very short notice and the price was just great. How lucky: it was definitely the most spacious and comfortable place we had on our tour of Zanzibar👍👍👍 Especially the large living/dining room was pleasantly cool despite the heat and we spent a cozy game evening there in heavy rain. This room is the only room of the house which is only equipped with metal mosquito repellent and without window panes. So there is always a pleasant breeze through the many windows. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Zoe was an amazing host and really helpful with providing recommendations on where to eat and what to see on the island. Zoe was also very quick with her responses which made our stay at Zanzibar stress free. The property was spacious, with the showers having good water pressure and the beds being covered in mosquito nets. We had rented a car and we were able to park the car safely inside the gate. Overall we would definitely recommend Zoe as a host and her property as a great place to stay!

Great place to stay in Northern Zanzibar. My family of four had plenty of space in the house and we really enjoyed the pool and the beautiful sunsets. I recommend!

A beautiful beach front villa with great spaces to relax and unwind. The Villa comes with good cooking amenities, 3 bathrooms, 3 double bedrooms and plenty of space to sit inside or out and enjoy that view! I would stay here again without even thinking about it! It’s well priced, well located and the hosts ensure you have all the local knowledge from start to finish. Superb!

We really enjoyed our stay with Weyni in Pingwe. The house was exactly what we expected from looking at its photos - nicely decorated and fully equipped for all our needs. The location itself is convenient for its beach access, and a number of restaurants within walking distance. Weyni and all her staff were extremely helpful and proactive - we felt very taken care of.
