Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Afon Mawddach

Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

We loved every minute of our stay. Just big enough for 2 adults and our dog. We loved being outside in the private garden, watching the sea with a glass of wine. The dog loved it too, it was very safe and secure. 45mins flat walk, into the town of Barmouth, via the useful instructions left by Hayley. We ate at Dylans (15mins walk, turn right on the main road) and Bay View (6mins walk turn left on the main road) would recommend both, we didn't book and got a table but I would think you'd need to book during high season. Fantastic stay and we will definitely book to come back.

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

Amazing place! Unbelievable amount of effort has gone into the craftsmanship of the huts and the whole area of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands. Loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Had a great couple of nights in this Hut. so much so that we wanted to book an extra night or two but there was no availability. Can't wait for our next visit. great location! so senic and peaceful. Signed was fantastic, super quick to respond to any messages. This is a little Gem and definitely worth a visit.

We had an amazing stay at erw Glamping, everything was clean and very cosy. We loved using the fire heatet hot tub. The only point I would note is that I wish on the listing it was noted that only a certain amount of wood would be provided. In the future I would bring my own wood as there wasn’t enough provided to heat up the hot tub for the entirety of our stay and to make use of the fire pit. But all in all, had a lovely time. We absolutely loved our stay at the Shepherds Hut. Cerys was a great host and was always on hand to offer any help and assistance if required. The meal she made for our first night was a lovely touch and tasted great. It was good to know there was something waiting for us when we arrived and took the hassle out of the first night. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay - was close enough to local towns for visiting yet far enough away that you can completely unwind in the peaceful surroundings and the views and sunsets at the hut were sublime. We would definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately we were not able to make the most of this amazing little place as we arrived late and had to leave early to start a charity walk of the ceredigion coast. We hope to return to enjoy this beautiful place, a real place to relax and escape.

Fantastic homely property, clean functional and private. Very well designed and really nicely set up. Shame we couldn’t use the log burner more as it was warm enough but bunkered down on a cold night it would be romantic and a great focal point. We fired it up once and the hut was well toasty. Thank you and hopefully stay another time soon.

Spectacular little place to stay if visiting anywhere near Newborough/on isle of Anglesey. Paula & Phil clearly take pride in keeping this place clean and welcoming for guests and it shows! Arriving pretty late in the evening Paula greeted us to show us around etc which was really helpful. Communication before & throughout the stay was impeccable, offering loads of advice on places to go/see, tide times over at Llandwynn island. 10/10 few nights away would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cute little hideaway!

Had a lovely stay at Idris. The location was excellent for a quiet few nights away, with plenty of hiking opportunities and great views. The property itself was well stocked and had everything I needed to full enjoy my stay. The host Suzanne was also very friendly and ready to help as needed.

This shepherds hut was wonderful! The hot tub was very well built as we actually got it too hot and had to wait overnight for it to cool down and then took a dip the next morning as it was still warm! The layout is really well done. A good kitchen, fridge, bathroom with an inbuilt shower and the bed was super comfy. Would happily recommend Sara's airbnb.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here, such a lovely hut and the host, Carolyn was so friendly. Beautiful views from the hut, with plenty of places for a walk, weather permitting. The Holland arms nearby offer some lovely food and is only 10 minutes walk away. Would come again, thanks Carolyn x

had a fab stay. was set in a beutiful setting and the hut itself was stunning. sitting outside with a morning cuppa, hearing the stream go past just rounded off a perfect stay. will definitely be back and make the most of a longer stay next time thats for sure. Thanks Again. :-D

We absolutely loved our stay here. The views from the hut is what really stood out to us and they are even better in person. We were a 15 minute drive away from Abersoch where we spent a lot of our time thanks to Meleris guidebook, there are some amazing walks and views round there too. The place was super clean and we felt very welcomed. Our dog loved the spacious garden to run around in too. Great trip overall 😊

We let ourselves in through the gate as instructed and parked up, Beth came out to greet us and show us around, The hot tub was still filling so the water is definitely changed between every visit. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking pans and utensils and the views are stunning, We stayed for 1 night only but wished we stayed longer, Will definitely return for a longer stay to take in the beautiful surroundings. What an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful accommodation in the most peaceful surroundings. The hut was immaculate with plenty of facilities. Sitting in the hot tub with the most amazing views has been delightful. An absolute must to visit to recharge the batteries. Highly recommend this lovely hut - We will definitely return.

The hut was an amazing place to stay; cozy, secluded and surrounded by nature. It was incredibly peaceful and made for the most beautiful get-away. It had everything we need and Ned was really helpful. We initially booked for two nights and ended up staying for one more. We are definitely hoping to return!

Myself and my girlfriend have just come back from a lovely few days at Hicks hut. We felt very relaxed due to the peaceful location of the hut. We really enjoyed the welcome from the animals too, and Jane even allowed for us to feed them on our final morning. We would definitely visit again!

This is a beautiful spot, I’ve totally fallen in love with the area. The cabin is really cute and comfortable. I love that the cabin is in its own enclosed paddock which is great for the dog and there is a stream across the road so you can clean the dogs off or cool them down. It’s probably worth mentioning that the farmhouse next door is currently being renovated so there are builders at work 8am - 5pm, but they are very polite and respectful and they tried to keep the noise down and did warn me if they were going to be noisy, but I was out most of the day as as they were gone by 5pm it wasn’t a problem. The owners are very responsive and are very nice. It was a great stay.
