Monthly Rentals in Agios Mattheos

We had a very nice time in the apartment. Spiros even cleaned the apartment twice during our 10-day stay and gave us fresh towels, which we did not expect from an Airbnb. We also received a welcome basket with food, which we were very happy about. Communication was very easy and we always got a direct answer to questions.

Angelina's accommodation is very cosy and beautifully furnished. We immediately felt at home and were able to relax. She responded quickly to messages and enquiries and even brought me an extra blanket. Definitely one of the nicest Airbnbs we've stayed in so far. The village is also very quiet and you can find everything you need. Thank you for the pleasant time!

We stayed 3 days in the charming village of Agios Mattheos. Eleftherios is an extremely pleasant and considerate host, he was able to give us good advice on the surroundings. The accommodation is perfect and as described, and impeccably clean. This village and its inhabitants are extremely endearing, the welcome is excellent and the people are smiling and authentic, a real interlude that reconciles with humanity. Our first visit dates back to 2018, the price has more than doubled since then, but they have done (and still are doing) a lot of work on the property! Landslides make their lives hard in that scenic spot and we hope they‘ll manage to save that paradise on the cliff for many years to come. The location is a dream come true, pretty cosy little house, nice bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, staircase directly to a beach which you basically don’t need to share with anyone. The garden is huge and offers many places to sit, shady trees on hot days. Taverna Avra is across the beach and just as friendly and good (closed only on Tuesdays). If you need groceries you’ll find them In Agios Mattheos, not far by car. Many walking and hiking or biking options in the area, so bring your bike or SUP if you can. As long as I live I will treasure and try to get back to this place and I wish the sweet family of George and Kamelia a happy season with equally enthusiastic guests!
