This is a real gem of a place to stay. A few kilometres outside Sougia in a beautifully quiet and peaceful spot on the hill surrounded by olive trees. The Eco House is very special. It has a kind of scandi aesthetic; everything is very beautiful down to the last detail. We wished we had such beautiful plates and bowls and lamps at home! It is also a very comfortable place to stay with everything you might possibly need and was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfy and the bed sheets smelt gorgeous! However, the most special thing about this place is Corinne. One of the warmest, loveliest people you are likely to meet. She has obviously poured her heart into the Eco House and you can feel it. Corinne was incredibly welcoming and also gave us invaluable advice about what to do locally and how best to do it. THANK-YOU CORINNE. We will definitely be back!

The best place we've ever been to! This place was just gorgeous! The location is fantastic: quiet, located directly on the sea, with a breathtaking view. The large terrace invites you to linger and offers absolute relaxation in complete privacy. The space itself is new, very stylish and furnished to a high end. There is nothing missing – especially the kitchen is fully equipped, so self-catering is easily possible. Communication with Stelios was excellent: fast, warm and helpful – you feel well looked after. In fact, the space is actually even nicer than in the photos. If you are looking for peace, comfort and an unforgettable stay, this is the place to be. Absolutely recommend – we will definitely be back!

This place is perfect for people looking for the country Crete experience, while only 30minutes from closely towns. Quiet and comfy, with everything you could want for a restful holiday. All the spaces are awesome. Inside and out. Everything is immaculately cared for. Manya is an exceptional host. Meeting us and then sitting with us for Raki and snacks when we arrived. She showed us how everything worked and had 40 oranges from her own trees, along with a basket of other fruits for us. She also left us alone and we enjoyed many days of peace and quiet laying by the pool and soaking in the sun. The kitchen and all appliances worked great. Beds were comfy and the WiFi was excellent. She truly thinks of everything and more. The nearby towns of Sougia and Paleochora are both nice. Paleochora is bigger, but both have great places to eat and very friendly people. Not a single bad thing to say about this place.

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. The most magical few days here - in a picture perfect seaside town and staying at the top of the village in Katherine’s beautiful space. Comfy linens, everything you need in the kitchen, stunning view of Loutro, and private terrace where we watched the stars for hours on the sun recliners. Katherine has great recommendations and we already can’t wait to return - couldn’t recommend this place enough.

This is one of those places you'll never forget. Wow wow wow! The view is really amazing; in the green, among the rocks overlooking the sea. There is no one around and you really have a cottage to yourself and that on a very nice piece of Crete. It is smart to do groceries on the way out (in the kitchen you will find everything for cooking and there is a barbecue), because a large supermarket is almost half an hour away and the tavern in the village is top for during the day, but in the evening you don't want to take that dark route on loose stones (that road takes some getting used to, but to do). Are you looking for a few days to check out completely? Then this is really the place! We will definitely come back!

Excellent location on a sleepier Old Town Chania street. Beautiful suite which was very clean. Hard to beat a luxury stay in the heart of old town. Host staff was very welcoming and helpful.
