Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Alcalá del Júcar

Unfortunately, we only had two days in Gareth's accommodation, but we can recommend it without reservation. The property is very large and quiet and we were able to park our camper van safely. The house itself is as described in the photos/advertisement and nothing is missing. Gareth as a host is particularly positive, who was extremely flexible and always easily accessible at check-in and check-out. We would come back anytime:)

We stayed at Jean Pierre's beautiful place for two nights, as a big group of friends celebrating a milestone birthday. Not only is the house itself set in peaceful and picturesque surroundings but the interior is cosy and warm with fun extras. We appreciated the pellet fire and the open log fire in the kitchen too. The kitchen itself is very spacious which was ideal for us to use for our big group meals. The bedrooms are comfortable and really nicely decorated. What made our stay so good though was the hospitality and kindness from Jean Pierre and his wife, Amparo. We organised a wine tasting one evening at their bodega and they were so accommodating, knowledgeable and great company. It was a very special evening that really added to our birthday celebrations! I would definitely recommend staying at El Poblet. You will be very well looked after. In fact, I'm already looking forward to booking again in the future.

Lovely weeks stay, really enjoyed being surrounded by the orange trees and two buildings worked really well for us with a beautiful patio in between where we had all of our meals! Very tidy and nice bedding etc, generally great facilities with some useful herbs/spices etc, only downside which we didn’t expect if you can hear the traffic from the road unfortunately but overall still peaceful and pool good for cooling down!

We have been in the house for 4 days, very comfortable, we would definitely repeat. Quiet accommodation with all amenities. If I had to mention a downside, it's that the mattresses on the single beds were very hard, the jets in the jacuzzi didn't work, and despite lowering the window blinds and closing the curtains in the rooms, a lot of light still came in and it was hard to sleep. This doesn't change how good we were, that's why we give 5⭐️.

Fantastic villa with everything you could ever need! Host was amazing at helping with taxis etc into Benidorm and from place to place. Overall beautiful stay and would come back in a heartbeat !!

We say to go to this place because we had been wanting to go to the Bogarra sculptures route with the little ones. The house is very cozy, clean, tastefully decorated and with all the amenities you can imagine. Very good located, in the middle of town. Supermercados and local bakeries to be able to go on foot. His host, Juan Angel, was attentive at all times and was very kind to us. Ayna is a town within a wonderful landscape that we highly recommend… we loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay with Sander and lucie. the accommodation was clean and the interior gave us an instant holiday vibe. Their swimming pool is huge, and we loved the fact that it’s all natural water. There were a lot of cute places the relax around the swimming pool and the around the accommodation itself. We did quite some hiking in the area, like “ruta del agua” and “rio fraille” (both recommended!) but there are also enough cute villages to visit in the area. Last but not least, Sander and Lucie were very friendly hosts.

Great apartment for a family looking to visit Valencia and enjoy the beach. Plenty of restaurants and food markets in the area within easy walking distance. $15-$20 taxi rides into the old town of Valencia. We booked our own trips to the airport but the hostess had her recommendation. Parking available for a rental car which we did use for one day, but in general you don't need a rental car. One point that might not be totally obvious...there are two porches - one facing the front (beach), and the other facing the back (street). Helpful because you can either stay in or avoid the sun as needed. We hope to return some day. Valencia exceeded my expectations, and I've been to Madrid and Barcelona many times (not that those aren't nice cities as well).

Unfortunately, we only stayed 2 nights. Maria's place is really something special. It is comfortably furnished with a beautiful little courtyard with remarkable plants and an incredibly comfortable bed. There was nothing missing. Maria and her partner themselves were very warm and welcoming. Even when our flight was delayed and they had to wait for us, that was no problem and they even took us to a small bar around the corner, where we could still get a delicious Serrano sandwich and end the evening with a drink for two. The area is very quiet and beautifully located and not at all touristy in the best sense. You can get a cortado for 1.30 euros in the café around the corner and otherwise you get everything you need in small shops. At the same time, you can reach the Valencian Old Town in a short time by Metro 2 if you want sightseeing and hustle and bustle. We will be back! Clear recommendation!

We were 3 ladies, on a 4 night trip, and Jordi's apartment was perfect for us. It's in a relatively peaceful neighbourhood but has an amazing cafe for breakfast on the corner, a big supermarket on the same block, a row of bars and restaurants just across the road, and is 20 mins into the centre of the old town. Jordi was a brilliant host: from the PDF sent at the time of the booking with all his local recommendations, to his offer of early check-in/late check-out as he didn't have bookings either side of ours. This meant that we really got to enjoy our last day in Valencia instead of lugging our suitcases around until our evening flight. It's in a very striking building, and it's green turrets making it easy to spot from quite a distance a way. Quite handy for those of us, who are navigationally challenged. Valencia is a city that has everything. I'd go back for another visit and I'd stay at this place whenever I do.

we had an awesome stay at Julie's, she was a great host super responsive to any questions and on hand to help with anything. The place is amazing, really relaxing atmosphere loads of outdoor space and has everything you need to relax with pool, hot tub, bbq and outside bar!

The property is extensive, quiet and very homely. Easy to relax and chill out by the pools while the barbecue smokes away. Juan was a welcoming host and we would not hesitate to recommend a stay there.

There were 10 of us celebrating a birthday down here. Spacious luxury house directly on the beach. Large pool and several areas where you could pull away if you needed to work or have a quiet moment. Andrea and her husband were so nice and quick to respond and fix if there was any thought. Tasteful, luxurious and thoughtful with all modern touches as well as technical solutions. A dream home I would like to have for family and friends. Villa Thorodin gets 5 stars.

stunning views, awesome pool, Oranges everywhere. we stayed in April and the orange blossoms smelled amazing. the house has everything you need and more. 10/10 if you want to spend the weekend with a view and good friends

Perfect stay with friends. With all the comforts, space and facilities. They even have more than they advertise, such as paella pans with gas wheels and barbecue grills. It wasn't missing a detail.

Natalia’s place is wonderful. Great location, supermarket, restaurants, bakery, coffee shop all walkable. Tastefully decorated with a lovely pool and outside space. Great for families and relaxing. Fully equipped kitchen — home from home feel. If you want to see Valencia you need a car. Natalia was an excellent host (one of the best we’ve experienced) and gave faultless recommendations! We will be going back.

9 women on a lovely relaxing break. The place was perfect for our needs. Gorgeous pool and excellent location. Oscar was very helpful and communicated throughout our stay. We would come back!
