Entering Matteo's house was like reconnecting with the island's history, the floor with worn ceramic is full of charm..... The doors with their weathered wood... Michaela greeted us with such warmth, helped us with groceries and arranged a donkey to take our stuff to the house. She was always responsive, giving suggestions and recommendations. The place itself is a true gem, with plenty of space, greatly equipped kitchen and a few spots for dining to choose from. It’s also located well for all the hikes around the island and not too far from the port (which is great for groceries and restaurants). We were impressed with the amount of detail Michaela kindly put in the house. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, peaceful and serene. The sunrise over the sea is visible from the bedroom as it faces eastward. Decent hikes around the island. Hosts were helpful in finding us a place to dine out on the island even during low season. Will be visiting again!

The house is located in a magnificent position, with an incredible view of the sea and all the Aeolian Islands. Obviously you have to be ready to take a 40-minute walk uphill to reach it and consider that shops and restaurants are down in the village, 350 meters lower, but the peace and atmosphere that reign once they arrive are priceless. Paolo's contacts on the island are very available for any need, for advice on what to buy and to organize transportation with the mule (essential to bring on the water to drink for the days of stay)
