Cottage holiday rentals in Angus

I could not recommend this cottage more, and I will definitely be back. It was very easy to locate and there is plenty of parking on the driveway. Inside the cottage, we found an extremely well stocked kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. Outside of the cottage, we spent most of the time on the beautiful, new dock overlooking Sparrow Lake. There were plenty of water sport toys available for us to use, the water was shallow and perfect for swimming, and we enjoyed seeing all of the float planes coming and going to the lake. In the evening, we spent time on the upper back deck overlooking the lake, where there was the bbq and hot tub. We felt right at home and cozy; I just wish I could have stayed longer! I brought along my dog who was very pleased to find cookies and a toy provided by the host. Thank you so much for hosting us and we plan to return next year! :)

This was our second time staying at Jamie’s cottage and it was just as wonderful as the first time. It is such a beautiful location and the cottage is warm and cozy with the amazing fireplace. It was a perfect spot to watch all the snow fall gently out the big windows, looking out over the river. So peaceful! We ended up having to leave early and it made us all so sad, especially our kids, so we’ve already mentally made plans to go back next winter. Jamie was super communicative and we really just enjoyed our time so much.

We loved Jess' place. Very cozy and felt like home. The location and house are perfect for a city escape. The area is relaxing and quiet, and all the locals seem nice. One kind neighbour even shared his logs with us to help with the fire.

We had a wonderful weekend at this Bnb. We loved the hot tub and view. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. 😊

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The house was very comfortable for our family of 8 as we celebrated my parents’ 50th anniversary. The bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were very clean, and the space felt welcoming. The location was ideal — close to popular attractions, yet peaceful and relaxing. The owner was a gracious and thoughtful host who genuinely cared about our comfort. We truly appreciated his kindness and responsiveness throughout our stay.

My friends and I stayed here for a winter weekend away and it was just what we needed/wanted in a little cottage. Great location for those coming from the GTA and nice and close for those in Simcoe. Once we got there we felt right at home! The hosts had cleared the walking paths and back deck of any recent snow fall which made it nice and easy to get inside and enjoy the grounds. They went above and beyond by having the wood burning stove going for us when we checked in which made CARL that much more cozy and welcoming. Communication and instructions were very clear and detailed from start to finish which made the whole rental process easy and enjoyable. My friends and I look forward to coming back to CARL in the future!

Accommodation was exactly as shown and described with added squirrels and chipmunks dashing around outside! Fab place in a fab location, close to a fab freshwater lake and fab bar at the end of the road.

Beautiful home! We absolutely loved the living area. It felt cozy with all the natural light coming in through the ceiling windows. The dining area was great on a snowy day. We played the games and enjoyed the views of the snow-covered pine trees! Loved the location and the house. Would recommend!

The place was beautiful, looking out onto a lake with clean swimmable water. And there was a beach only 5 minutes away. Everything inside the house was clean and well-stocked. Richard was also very responsive with any inquiries. Overall, a great place, very well worth it!

Katie and Derek's property is stunning and relaxing, and their responsiveness was also fantastic. The property is even nicer than the pictures show, and there is a great attention to detail with their decor and amenities (such as readily available bug spray). The location is great and has lots of privacy. It felt like an incredibly recharging experience! What really was above and beyond was their communication. There was a slight issue with the fridge, but every step of the way, Derek and Katie were very positive and accommodating. They responded to our messages promptly and helped us find a solution so that we could enjoy our stay regardless. With their accommodations and attentiveness, it was as if the issue had never existed in the first place. Thank you to Katie and Derek for an incredible stay, and we hope to rebook with you in the future!

Fit 8 guests perfectly, great communication and amazing location. Everything was clean and organized. 12 minutes from mount St. Louis which was perfect for our trip. Can’t recommend this place enough. Would 100% book again with Jenni!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for our group of 10 adults. The lakeside view was beautiful, and the large deck was a great spot to relax and enjoy the sunset. This place is perfect for anyone who enjoys fishing or boating. We’d love to come back when the weather is warmer! Bijan was a great host—very responsive, kind, and easy to communicate with. Cottage is totally unique being on a point with water on two sides. Architecture is modern and very comfortable. Two larger bedrooms are the same size so great to share with another couple. Views include Goffat Island and McCrae Provincial Park so lots of greenery. With the pick of two sides to paddle you can stay out of the wind. I have been coming to Lake Simcoe for over 50 years and I have never heard so many loon cries! And trumpeter swans for visuals. Firepit has great views! We had a great time.

Beautiful cottage , backyard is spacious and perfect for kids to run around in . Super clean and the beach was within walking distance . Highly recommend booking your stay here . I will be booking in the future again for sure .

Beautiful place with great sunset facing views. Lots of comfortable sleeping for a larger group, and modern amenities and kitchen for gathering. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to spend quality time in a private location.

We had an incredible stay with our 5 year old and baby. The place is surrounded by tall trees and felt so scenic and private. The property is right on the water and a small sandy area leading up to water the kids could sit and play on. Inside is fully equipped with everything to cook and have fun including board games, some kids toys and a high chair. The wood paneling everywhere and decor gave it a rustic charm. The temp control worked quickly to adjust and water pressure was excellent (sometimes a concern with cottages). Host was very quick to respond to messages. Overall more than a 5 🌟 stay and would happily come back.

We had a fabulous, relaxing stay at Derek and Sandra’s gem on Georgian Bay. Felt at home from the start, and made good use of the fire pit, hot tub and proximity to biking and hiking trails. The photos don’t lie. This place is cozy, clean and captivating… right on the Bay! Hosts have done everything to help you have a five-star stay.

We had a great week at Daniel’s cottage - the perfect place to relax & unwind after a week exploring the sights in Toronto. Daniel was an excellent host - no question was too much trouble, & he was very quick to respond to any queries. The cottage & amenities were exactly as described and proved to be perfect for our family - especially our two 16 & 19 year old sons, with plenty of time spent swimming, kayaking / canoeing, riding the Peloton, or playing table tennis, table football, & the X-box. The location of the cottage was perfect, with beautiful views of the river and surrounding woodland. The rear deck was the perfect spot for breakfast or BBQ’ing in the evening & watching the sunset. We ate at the cottage most days with supplies from the excellent Canoe Stores & Bakery in Washago, which had us coming back for the pecan slices on a daily basis! We ate out at the Lock42 Grill, set in a beautiful location beside the canal. All in all we would highly recommend Daniel’s cottage.
