House holiday rentals in Areias

Lisbon was nice, but our vacation started here. Having this beautiful home and a car, we explored the region and had a great time. Owners recommendations led to our favorites experiences on the trip. Can't recommend enough. The pics don't do it justice either, and the pics are amazing.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa. Highlight was the unbelievable views from the pool and terrace. The villa and garden with pool & basketball/football court is completely private, perfect for small groups. There are some great local restaurants and river beaches, and Porto centre is only a short drive away. Be warned - there are lots of steep and narrow roads! João was a brilliant host - greeting us on arrival, and easy to reach throughout. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This place is an absolute gem. It is one of the nicest places we found in Portugal. The house is located in a small vineyard. Beds were comfortable. There’s a wood fired barbeque a great outdoor covered area and a beautiful infinity pool. Every morning we had fresh bread delivered to our doorstep. We picked lemons and oranges from around the house and had the host deliver us fruit. It was beautiful and quiet. The only negative is that we enjoy the place so much we did not visit any of the surrounding areas😊. If we had any questions, the host was response almost immediately with suggestions for places to go restaurants, markets. We had an excellent day and would return and stay there again anytime. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 definitely highly recommended.

After 5 nights spent in this beautiful place I had a hard time leaving it... I got depressed and cried so much this place is perfect, that's to say! In fact, if I could buy this property, I would do it without hesitation 💫 Honestly, I'm still shocked by this breathtaking view... whether you're in bed, on the terrace, in the hot bath or in the pool, it's just sublime, incredible, bewitching... I don't have enough adjectives to describe this place, all I know is that I would like to go back as soon as possible ✨️ PS: remember to buy something to make a fire for the barbecue and the brazier (with marshmallows)

Beautiful picturesque farm! Gorgeous sunsets and gardens! We enjoyed our stay at the farm and having a taste at how wholesome and romantic a farm life looks like with its flower gardens, vegetable garden, glass greenhouse and animals. Hosts were very caring and went the extra mile to help us. Thank you!!

Our stay at this property was absolutely wonderful! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the cozy linens to the stocked kitchen. The space was even more beautiful than the photos, and the atmosphere was peaceful, warm, and inviting. Rui is incredibly kind, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our stay comfortable. Communication was clear and prompt. The location was also perfect, quiet and relaxing, yet close to everything we wanted to explore. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful place with an amazing host!

Manuel and his wife Lidia were a great hosts. The communication was very quick and they were always ready to help us or give us anything we needed during the stay. The house was very clean, fully equipped and is located in a very calm area surrounded by yards and trees. Very peaceful with a private pool and bbq possibility. It is a bit far from center, so I highly recommend hiring a car (it is not expensive), since there is a private parking as well. The house is an ideal for a family of 4-5 or a group of friends. Thank you Manuel and Lidia, we will definitely come back!

We had wonderful days. Interior of the spaces are a bit dated, but everything is clean. Pool and views really beautiful. The pool is shared with Farmhouse 2 but is fine to do. In the house also more than enough space, large kitchen. Communication with Hugo was fast and easy.

Beautifully designed apartment with a great atmosphere and beautiful views of the river in a quiet neighborhood. It's an easy walk into the middle of town - about ten minutes for us. We enjoyed the pool too! Highly recommended.

Náhir and her Sister are great hosts responded very quickly when we needed help. Their place is very cozy and central highly recommended when staying in Porto.

This has probably been the been AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The new house built on top of an ancient mill is really special and very welcoming with great attention to detail, the host was extremely welcoming and attentive to our requests and the location of the house allowed both for sightseeing in Guimaraes and Braga, as well as for excursions to the mountains and the sea side. We stayed for a week and the longer we stayed the more we appreciated our living environment in the middle of a flowing river stream.

The house sits in harmony with its surroundings and affords you the opportunity to enjoy it all, either sipping a glass of wine in the hot tub while watching the sun set, or lying in the pool and gazing down the valley to the river below. Beautiful. We were reluctant to leave and will definitely be back.

Very beautiful villa, the exterior with its multiple terraces and swimming pool is a true haven of peace. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. There are all the amenities (washing machine, iron, dolce gusto, etc.) for a very good stay. In addition, Ema and her teams are very welcoming. The only point of vigilance is that it is necessary to be transported because the villa is quite isolated. In short, I recommend it! 😊

A very nice accommodation that is recommended. Two houses down is a small minimarket with everything you might urgently need. The only minor criticism is that the street is directly next to the bedrooms. Cars drive there all night, which is sometimes loud when the windows are open. A very clean and beautiful apartment

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Da Alvarinha last week, it is such a lovely place. The house has so much character and is well equipped with plenty of communal areas, comfortable bedrooms, a decent kitchen, hot showers and everything that you need for your stay. Highlights included being surrounded by nature, the stunning outdoor dining area with the wisteria and lighting, and chilling out at the pool. Ana is a fantastic host, she doesn't intrude on your holiday but was always easy to get in touch with whenever you needed anything, quick to respond and very helpful. The cat Kim was no trouble at all and was a hit with the cat loving friends in my group. The location is so peaceful and within a half hours drive to Porto, we did catch the train a few times but mostly used Ubers which we found easy to book through the app. This trip was to celebrate my birthday with some close friends and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay or a better host, thank you Ana!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

The house is perfect, very beautiful, everything was impeccable, it has several household items, the bed is comfortable, the pool is excellent, it has an outdoor kitchen that makes all the difference, they were wonderful days, Mr. Arcilio and Daniela are incredible people, my family felt at home, the best house we've ever stayed in, we'll be back for sure.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great stay, we will definitely go back. The house is extremely comfortable, beautiful and versatile, it gives both a warm and cold height. The location is perfect, both for those who want to know Gerês, and for those who just want to rest and enjoy the amenities of the house. The hosts are super friendly and flexible, I highly recommend!

As far as we are concerned, the accommodation gets 5 stars. The apartment is neat, has an extensive kitchen and a private roof terrace. In addition, we were allowed to use the communal garden and swimming pool. Everything was taken care of to the last detail. In addition, you can also walk to the underlying lake within a minute, where you can swim! The nature in the area is beautiful, but very remote. Porto is a 1.5 hour drive and is definitely worth a day trip. All in all, we would definitely recommend the accommodation for a week of recharging in nature. The host is also very nice, her father kindly welcomed us, there was a bottle of wine and cheese ready for us and later we got fresh eggs from their own chickens. Finally, he even washed our car just before departure. Really sweet!

A lovely and unique stay with your very own waterfall! The host is quick to respond and most helpful. We enjoyed our stay either out exploring or by the pool.

Thank you Tania for our amazing stay in Fafião!! We immediately felt at home and loved ever single thing. The guest book and Pin wall where all previous guests could leave their "personal message" was such a nice addition! The surroundings are beautiful (especially as seen from the jacuzzi ;)), and the local bars/restaurants/stores are run by the kindest people. Every single time we needed help, Tania responded immediately and with very detailed and useful answers! In case you are looking for a "remote" location where you can enjoy hiking during the day and relaxing at night, this really is the place for you. Once again thank you Tania for your hospitality, will definitely recommend you to anyone who wants to explore Peneda-Gerês :)
