Holiday rentals in Arlington

What an absolutely gorgeous apartment. We fell in love the moment we walked through the door. Be aware: there are a LOT of stairs. It is mentioned in the listing but my husband and I swore the stairs multiplied and grew steeper each time we went upstairs. This is NOT a complaint. It's something to be aware of. The view from the porch is extraordinarily beautiful. The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable (especially the King sized one downstairs). The whole place was AMAZINGLY clean. The town folks are VERY friendly and nice. The town does close everything down pretty early and there are no nearby big box stores or drugstores that are open late. Again, not a complaint (I actually love the Mom and Pop aspect) but people should know. We loved this Airbnb so much we are already planning a return trip!

We loved the grain bill cabin! It is very light and comfortable inside. The view from the cabin is very peaceful as the windows look out to rolling hills covered in prairie grass. Definitely recommend if you need a quiet place to unwind and relax. Also the surrounding country side is very beautiful. We took the long route to Elkader in the morning for breakfast, and the scenery was very beautiful. Would highly recommend this place!

We thoroughly enjoyed being in this lovely home. It was very clean and welcoming. Everything was user friendly. The beds were quite comfortable too! Also, the town is very quiet and lovely with pretty parks. The house is conveniently located so you can go one direction for a residential walk and another direction for downtown. It was a perfect place for us to stay during our granddaughter's wedding and we would happily stay there again!

Mandi was a great host with an exceptional place to stay. We will definitely be back. Especially to stay at the upstairs unit with an attached deck.

We had such a lovely stay at the Little House on the Farm! Patrick was incredibly responsive—always replying within minutes—and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The house was spotless, and despite visiting during a 90+ degree heat wave, the barn stayed remarkably cool, which we really appreciated. We were traveling with a 4-year-old and a 5-month-old, and the setup was perfect for young kids. Our 4-year-old had the best time exploring the property, playing on the swing set, and visiting the animals. One of the highlights for us as parents was how accommodating Patrick was—when I asked about a squeaky glider rocker (an essential for middle-of-the-night rocking sessions, IYKYK!), he came over right away and fixed it. That kind of care and attention really made a difference. We would absolutely stay here again. It was peaceful, super clean, bug-free, and full of charm. Highly recommend!

We have no expectations, just wanted a relaxing weekend. But this place was breathtaking and very relaxing view. The cabin was very beautiful, organized and huge. I have no words but its a 5 star my friends saw my post in social media they been asking me where is this place and they want to rent here too. Ofcourse I Will recommend it. What ever we needed, its all here actually more than we needed. David is such a great host and would like to thank him for letting us stay here. Hopefully we can visit again here on fall if there’s availability and if David will let us.

We loved staying at the house just north of Guttenberg, it fit our needs wonderfully, close enough to town if we needed something but out in the country with a great view of the Mississippi River on a quiet street with very few houses on. The house itself slept plenty of people we were a party of 5 everyone had their own space. The kitchen and den felt like home, we watched movies and it was a big enough for family to come over and visit and eat. We (adults) enjoyed the games (pool table, basketball, shuffleboard) in the garage. The front porch was comfortable to sit and watch the birds and the barges and boats on the river. The back porch had a view of a pond we watched a mother duck and ducklings swimming in it one day. We would definitely stay here again when we are in Guttenberg. Simon the host was always quick to respond with any questions that we had. Thanks for letting us stay in this beautiful home and location.

Dawn is an excellent host. Her place is spacious, very clean with a full kitchen and full-sized washer and dryer. The bed (I slept in one—was there solo) was very comfortable. The living room space has two comfortable recliners with a TV and good reading light. I was in Elkader for a family funeral and would definitely book with Dawn again.
