A short walk from Cogra Moss reservoir, 2 miles from Loweswater and only 4 miles from Ennerdale Water. Parking for two cars and storage for bikes, this is a great base to enjoy the magic Lakes and surrounding area. The lovely market town of Cockermouth is just a 13 minute drive away.

Our cosy open-plan Apartment, Laal Yan, is sandwiched between the Western Lakes and the Solway Coast, offering fantastic links to much of Cumbria. Our self-contained apartment has been lovingly decorated with peace and tranquility in mind. With its own private entrance, it makes the perfect cosy hideaway to rest and recuperate while enjoying the idyllic local countryside. Whether you are here to excercise and adventure or just visit local family, our accommodation offers the perfect base. ​

Wake up to a great view.

Enjoy wonderful views of the Ennerdale fells, extending to Pillar and Steeple. The spacious, comfortable accommodation forms the main section of a larger semi-detached property. You will have the house to yourselves - we will be far away, but contactable should you have any questions or issues. It's self check-in and check-out. There are many good and varied walks nearby, as well as scenic drives and gastro pubs. You will need to bring groceries with you - breakfast is not supplied.

Our cottage is a converted lakeland barn in the village of Pardshaw, near Cockermouth. Ideal for couples, walkers, cyclists, or families as a base for exploring the stunning Western Lake District. Loweswater is a ten minute drive away and Crummock, Buttermere , Keswick and the coast are all within half an hour. It's very cosy in the winter with comfy leather sofas and a woodburning stove, and there's a large 1st floor deck for Al Fresco dining in the summer.

Granted UNESCO World Heritage Status in 2017, this area makes an ideal base for touring NW Cumbria, cycling, hiking fells & round lakes, climbing, canoeing, an en-route stopover for the Coast to Coast Cycle Route or a peaceful, romantic location for a countryside retreat.

Bridge End Cottage is located in the village of Lorton, a short drive from the picturesque market town of Cockermouth, making this the ideal base for couples and families to explore the lakes. The village pub and shop are less than a 5-minute walk, with a regular bus service to Keswick between March and October. The cottage has 2 bedrooms en-suite, a multi fuel stove and parking on site. The cottage is attached to the main house, and is self contained.

The Place is an exceptional 17th Century farmhouse cottage with stunning lake views, at the head of Loweswater in the beautiful, quiet Western Lake District. Full of charming original features, modernised conveniently, gracefully furnished, it is a delight to come home to. With four bedrooms, one bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, it is suitable for a maximum of 8 people and one dog, but cosy for smaller groups or a couple as well.
