House holiday rentals in Ashford

This is the second time we have stayed at Corrina’s holiday home and once again we found it to be squeaky clean, very well equipped, peaceful and a great location. The garden is home to a family of foxes, who were so confident, that they sunbathed on the lawn whilst we were sitting on the veranda. Corrina made us aware of check in details in very good time and left a number just in case we needed assistance, which I’m happy to say we didn’t need. The surrounding area is so lush and green, this time of year, and there is always plenty of interesting things to do nearby. We will visit again next year, but hopefully for longer this time. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay here, Nick was an excellent host, greeted us on arrival and very helpful with local info. Nick responded almost immediately to messages and had the pool ready for us to use as and when we requested. The kids had so much fun in the pool, the floats and toys left out to use were an added bonus! House was spotless and perfectly equipped. Would definitely Recommend and would happily return. We had a fantastic time at Dormestone House. It is an amazing property with so much space so perfect for visiting with family or friends. It was the perfect place to celebrate Christmas. Would love to go in summer when we could use all of the facilities.

We absolutely loved our stay and will be booking again. The space was clean, warm and very spacious up and downstairs. The design and decor was on another level. We couldn’t get over the beautiful chandelier. We were greeted with fruits and milk on arrival in the large kitchen. Ahead of our journey we were given clear directions to the property. Access was easy and there were clear instructions for the sauna, pool etc. We used the sauna daily. It’s was huge and looked brand new. We were be able to watch the kids swim in the pool from the sauna. The kids absolutely loved the pool and took every opportunity day and night to swim. It really was a bonus to have our own pool. 5 of us stayed for a week and there was enough space in the fridge and freezer for all of our food. I have already recommended the space to my friends.

Absolutely lovely place to spend a night - from feeding the fish to a quick round of pool, and of course the brilliant facilities on the patio, which couldn't be simpler to use thanks to the helpful instructions. Everything is set up to provide optimum convenience and a warm welcome (like the plentiful fire/BBQ supplies and the eggs and marmalade from Jane's hens, which were both fantastic, so kind!) Jane herself is a wonderful host, and my partner and I highly recommend this listing. Thank you!

I stayed for my 30th birthday celebrations and had the best time ever. This place was perfect! the decor, the location, the surroundings and most importantly Karen and her husband was so friendly and lovely and ensured I had a special birthday. I’ve stayed at Airbnb’s before and I’ve never had a host as lovely as Karen was, the perfect host we could have wish for. The swimming pool was amazing and me and my family had a wonderful time enjoying it in the sun with a BBQ. The cottage was spotless and a welcome hamper was provided and every little detail was perfect. The garden area was beautiful through out the day and so peaceful and relaxing. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, it was truly perfect and I will definitely be staying again and recommending to everyone I know! Thank you again for making it such a special birthday x

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

This house has absolutely everything you could ever want or need. Swimming pool is great and heated to a perfect temp for the kids. House is enormous and every little thing seems to have been thought of by the hosts including extras such as dressing gowns for all guests, soap, shampoo and a hairdryer in every room. Location is right on the coast with great views out the front of the sea. Garden is lovely. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Alan and Bill

Second year staying at this beautiful little home. Perfect for all our needs and always a lovely warm welcome. Peaceful and lovely surroundings and the chicken and goats always a child pleaser.

Lovely house in a good location for the tunnel. We walked to the shopping outlet for a look round the shops and dinner. House was spotless on arrival and smelled fresh. We got a parking space right outside. Would stay again.

Sabina's house was in a lovely quiet neighbourhood. It was spotlessly clean and the bedrooms are very spacious. We had a great stay there and Sabina was a responsive host. We would definitely stay there again.

The host, accommodation was ideal for what we wanted. On arrival the location was not great but once inside the house is really lovely. We were staying when on a training event so out from 9am till 9pm. There is a shop just down the road which was convenient. Can’t fault the house just the location. The neighbours back garden was full of rubbish like mattresses so looked very unsavoury but apart from seeing it when you open windows it didn’t impact on our stay. All in all very nice. The carpets and everything in the house looked brand new.

We stayed at Marie’s for the weekend to experience the steam strain and the safari. The place is cosy, clean and located in a very quiet village. Mark & Marie made us feel at home and they prepared everything for our 2 years old son…bath basin, shower gel, toys, books and even milk in the fridge. We asked to place our ice pack in their freezer and they brought a small freezer for us 😍. They even prepared few beers in the fridge for us. Also, they gave us a late check out to let our son taking a nap. Super attentive and considerate hosts. Many thanks Marie & Mark.

I had a great stay at Kelly's house and in fact extended by an extra two days!! Very comfortable house and very warm which was handy as the weather was very cold!! All the furniture was comfortable especially the bed and I slept really well I would definitely stay here again when I am next in the area!!

We stayed with our 8 month old baby for a week and it was ideal- didn’t hear the church bells as I was worried about that waking him in the night but it’s the perfect peaceful retreat.

Good location, near to Waitrose and ashford town. Good size house and parking a bonus.

What a wonderful week we had, beautiful home that we didnt want to leave. Comfy beds and had everything we needed. The host was really good with communication and the listing described the place beautifully. The gardens were stunning and the white rose on the driveway smelt divine! We left feeling incredibly relaxed. The log burner was beautiful in the evening when the weather turned a little. The local area is lovely for going for walks and the pub down the road is full of really lovely people and regular live music. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Mark xx

The Smithy could not be more beautiful or more comfortable. It is the prettiest little house with a window box overflowing with petunias in the prettiest little English country square you could imagine (like something Disney would make up but better) with the ‘big house’ through the gates at one end of the square and a picture perfect church and pub the other end. The beds are huge and so comfortable. The garden is perfect for eating and sitting out in and I loved the kitchen which took me back in time to simpler, happy times (although please don’t get the wrong idea, everything is modern, clean, works and is up to date!). It just has a lovely nostalgic feel to it, perhaps because it reminded me of happy childhood times in my grandmother’s house, sitting at the kitchen table. I spent one afternoon cooking in it and feeling really relaxed ‘at home’ in a way that it isn’t always possible to feel at home! My husband and our Canadian cousins walked to Canterbury along the Pilgrims Way.

I have stayed in AirBnBs all around the world, and this one was my favorite! Perfect location, very nice interior and bedding, adorable patio, and personable hosts. Highly recommended!

Just stayed one night for a family gathering nearby. Perfect for what we needed but could see it would be a good base for visiting that part of Kent or as a stop over if you were heading for the Channel. The decking area was a real bonus to enjoy drinks/meals in the sunshine. When sitting outside, the traffic noise from the nearby motorway is noticeable to start with, but quickly fades as you become accustomed to it.

What a find. Wonderful helpful and friendly family. We didn't have any issues with anything relating to this location. Clean well equipped and spacious property. Quiet location within walking distance of the local pub. Park and ride to Canterbury within five miles and cost £4. for the two of us. Location was perfect for us. We would definitely choose to stay with Emily and Simon again when we are next in Kent.

We really enjoyed staying at Amy’s place. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Amy was a helpful and responsive host. The location is superb, our first time in Rye but we will be back. We particularly enjoyed brunch at The Fig and dinner at The Union in Rye and The George Hotel has a lovely courtyard for drinks. Thank you Tiffany! We had such a nice stay for our anniversary, host couldn’t have been more lovely and accommodating. Such a stunning home we took inspiration from her decor for our home! We stayed in playing battleship that was provided and cooked dinner in the kitchen with the tv on. 10/10 can’t fault. Will definitely be coming back xxx
