Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Assendelft

We loved our stay at Mabel’s cottage while we visited the Netherlands to celebrate my bachelorette! The house has a good mix of seclusion and convenience: there aren’t many neighbors nearby, which offers a good amount of privacy. It is also conveniently located right across the street from the train station - which is two stops (~15 minutes) to Amsterdam Central Station. If you wish to visit a different city other than Amsterdam on your stay, Haarlem was ~20 minutes and is another very cute and quaint city. The home was decorated beautifully and was maintained very well. Nonetheless, Mabel made us all feel right at home and was quick to respond whenever we had a question. I would highly recommend staying here - thank you again Mabel for hosting us!!

Hele hartelijke ontvangst van Ruud en Peter, direct hulp gekregen met tillen. De woning was helemaal naar verwachting, en nog een beetje beter. Een zalig bed, heerlijk fris ruikend beddengoed en handdoeken. Mooie omgeving en erg rustig gelegen. Zeker waar voor je geld .. en ik kom graag nog eens terug. Bedankt !!

Wir hatten als fünfköpfige Familie ein wunderbares Wochenende in Uitgeest. Die Umgebung mit der Windmühle, den Wiesen mit viel Wasser, Natur und dem schönen Ort direkt um die Ecke sind der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge ans Meer oder nach Haarlem und Amsterdam. Unsere Gastgeber waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Haus bietet alles, was man braucht und ist schön gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s. She is a very friendly host and answers questions quickly. The place is exactly as described and shown on the pictures. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, and the commute to the city is easy.

Wir haben uns das Haus gebucht weil es uns von den Bewertungen sehr angesprochen hat. Unsere Erwartungen wurden aber weit übertroffen. Wir kamen in einem Haus in dem wir uns sofort wie zuhause gefühlt haben. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden was man für den täglichen Gebrauch benötigt. Alles ist sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation mit Saskia war problemlos möglich. Wir haben uns das Haus mit einem befreundeten Pärchen gemietet und sind nach einer Woche sehr gut erholt nach Hause gefahren. Wir können das Haus bedenkenlos weiter empfehlen. Wir möchten nächstes Jahr im Herbst wieder kommen. Danke für alles Saskia und Flip.

Das war ein wundervoller Aufenthalt in einer süßen und sehr gemütlichen Unterkunft! Wenn wir wieder nach Amsterdam kommen, dann wollen wir auf jeden Fall wieder in Astrids kleinem Kuschelhäuschen untergebracht sein! Hier ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Es steht auch eine Auswahl an Gewürzen, Kaffee und Tee zur Verfügung sowie ausreichende Kochutensilien und Geschirr. Das Haus war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Betten waren auch sehr bequem. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zu Fuß schnell erreichbar, so wie die Bushaltestelle mit einer guten Verbindung nach Amsterdam. Alles in allem eine Fünfsterneplus-Unterkunft! Vielen Dank dafür, Astrid!

Laura and her husband Arjan were the perfect hosts! Arjan served us breakfast each morning which included a basket of fresh bread, fruits and cheese. Arjan provided us with great recommendations and most especially - showed us how to use the tram system! It is a lovely apartment and they made us feel very welcome.

Do not hesitate to go there! It is the perfect getaway! Everything is well thought, well decorated, we felt so quickly at home and at peace. There are some houses and neighbours around the house but you might only see them when you arrive and leave. The place is private and quiet. The view is exactly like the picture, we spent evenings looking at the sky, the birds, the rabbits and the cows. A great place 😊

Sehr schönes Apartment, perfekte Lage und makellose Kommunikation.

Maaike und Marko waren super freundlich! Wir könnten spontan früher einchecken, die Wohnung war schön eingerichtet und gemütlich. Wir haben uns sehr Willkommen gefühlt und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dieser Unterkunft. Eine schön eingerichtete und gemütliche Wohnung mitten im Zentrum von Alkmaar, in einem Hinterhof wo die Katze einen jeden Morgen begrüßt. Es wurde an alles gedacht und Vincent und Grace sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Ich kann diese Unterkunft empfehlen!

Das erste AirBnB, das sich für mich wie ein richtiges zuhause angefühlt hat. Es steckt sehr viel Liebe drin. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass man in einem Märchenhaus gewesen ist. Die Lage ist perfekt, um für ein Wochenende abzuschalten. 30 min mit dem Fahrrad nach Zandvoort und 5 min mit dem Fahrrad nach Harlem. Ich war von Harlem auch sehr überrascht, da es für mich wie eine bessere Version von Amsterdam angefühlt hat.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Irma. Le logement est très propre, agréable, bien équipé. L’environnement est très joli. Irma est une hôte très sympathique et réactive. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

We really enjoyed our stay in Ilpendam and only regret not staying longer. The host Kelly was welcoming friendly and informative and her little studio/shop selling beautiful Indian quilts and clothing etc is well worth a visit. The village itself is pretty and has a nice, friendly restaurant, a useful little shop, and a visiting pizza van on Thursday evenings for a couple of hours. The buses to and from Ilpendam/ Amsterdam Central are regular and about 5 minutes walk from the apartment- they are reasonably priced and efficient. Amsterdam itself is full of interesting things to do, and we found the I amsterdam card very useful here. As there are basic cooking facilities at the apartment we had breakfast and a couple of other meals there, and saved some money this way, as well as enjoying being in the apartment itself- it's very sweet, and with some lovely decorative items. Importantly the bed is very comfortable! We would recommend Kelly's apartment.

We had the most wonderful stay. The Garage was perfect for what we needed. It was beautifully done, Sanny and Dennis had thought of everything. It had a lovely feeling to it, was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Check in was really easy. We used the bikes (thank you!) and the location was a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Alkmaar. We would not hesitate to return. Thank you for creating such a cool and beautiful space. Yafit and Jerry’s apartment was everything we wanted and more! Such a beautiful spot and well equipped. Me and my friend stayed for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed chilling on the outdoor seating area after a long day of sight seeing in Amsterdam. On our first day we explored Zaandam on foot and on the bikes provided at the apartment. We visited nearby Zaanse Schans which was great! The other two days we spent sightseeing in Amsterdam which was easy to reach on the train. We loved our trip and we would happily stay here again!

Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Es ist für Naturliebhaber leicht zu erreichen und dennoch nur 25 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum Amsterdams entfernt. Wir vermissten lediglich eine größere Spüle zum Abwaschen des Frühstücksgeschirrs. Insgesamt war es aber eine sehr sympathische Erfahrung.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser Unterkunft direkt am Strand. Die Lage ist traumhaft und die Gegend bietet viele Möglichkeiten zur Erholung und zum Erkunden. Die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit – ihre Tipps für Ausflüge und Aktivitäten waren sehr wertvoll. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr luxuriös eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!

Wonderful space! Beautiful interior, very well equipped for everything you might need over a long weekend stay. Marina was lovely, very helpful and communicative. The bed was extremely comfortable, location excellent, every part of the space is well thought out and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a great time in this sweet apartment. We loved sitting in the living room overlooking the canal and appreciated the great shower and overall layout of the apartment. The location is fantastic. Very residential and more peaceful than other parts of the city we have been to. We highly recommend it!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

Our stay with MorningStar in Amsterdam was absolutely exceptional. The home was pristine, beautifully designed, and full of luxurious touches that made our three-night stay unforgettable. We arrived to find thoughtful treats like fresh fruit and chocolate waiting for us—such a warm welcome! The location was perfect: central, quiet, and incredibly walkable, which made it easy for our family of four to explore the city. Every detail exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!
