The highlight of the stay is that the apartment is near well-known places like Zell am See and Salzburg, famous for skiing or one can drive to the famous waterfalls of Krimml or Großglocknerstrasse. Sports like rafting, mountain biking, and hiking can be done in this area. There are 3 sunny and airy bedrooms on the first floor that boast a dazzling view of the nearby mountains and meadows. The first floor also has a living area equipped with comfortable sofas, TV and free wifi. The open modular kitchen and a dining area is perfect to have a meal together. A spacious stube is located on the ground floor, where one can and potentially other guests can dine. The restaurants and public transports are just at a distance of 200 m from the apartment. Salzburg Airport is the nearest airport. Not only the apartment, also the location is a dream - a few minutes walk to the center and the cable cars and yet in absolute tranquility, elevated over the rooftops of Zell am See with spectacular lake and mountain views. A true gem! In the house there is a small wellness oasis waiting, in front of the door a beautiful hiking trail... Request quickly:-)

Homey Cottage with Glacier View

Our homey mountain retreat used to be my grandparents' place and has been completely renovated just recently. We wanted to preserve the snug and cosy traditional atmosphere with a combination of traditional furniture and a more modern almost minimalistic kind of interior. We kept parts of the traditional furniture and a beautiful collection of my granddad's handcarved portraits on the ground floor and combined it with bright wood and white on the first floor to leaven the atmosphere.

Maishofen is a quiet gem situated in the middle of Saalbach Hinterglemm, Saalfelden Stein an der Meer, Leogang, Zell am See, Kaprun and The Kitzsteinhorn. The area has so many attractions to offer. The Austrian mountains surrounding us make it perfect for hiking, biking, skiing or just exploring the area and relaxing by the lake. The apartment says 3 people, however, we recommend only 2 adults plus 1 child up to the age of 12.

The apartment is located in the city center - within walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops, city gondola for skiing and hiking. Unfortunately, there is no fixed parking space at the house - a parking space in the public garage can be rented for €15/24 hours, as of April 2025.
