A real Holland House

MariRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A very nice, private room, next to bathroom. Water kettle plus tea and coffee were available, microwave oven and a fridge too. Lovely cool room temperature, easy to sleep in a cooler room. I had my woolly socks with me, so the floor was just fine too. You could do some groceries in shops at 5 min walking distance. Near citycentre and shops. Bike rental near railway station. I have nothing to complain, thank you Lenie!

Monumental House, City Haarlem. 15min to Beach

We have stayed at Jan’s beautiful house last year and the fact that we returned again for our summer holiday speaks volumes about how much we love the place. Everything is outstanding: the decor, the neighbourhood, the communication, the friendliness! Thank you, Jan!

Apartment for one or two guests

The apartment was very nice and clean, everything you need is there, great location. We found the bed not the most comfortable, but that's a matter of taste and habit.

Haarlem's Secret Gem

TerrenceRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We must start with our host, Thijs, who is warm, really helpful, communicates lucidly and rapidly, and is his own best asset. His home is on one of the loveliest streets in Haarlem; all green, quiet, in a pedestrian and bicycle-only zone; walking distance to a canal, our favorite coffee shop in Haarlem, Maeve,, and just around the corner from our favorite breakfast and lunch restaurant, Ti Bissou. It is a short walk to anyplace one might wish to visit or shop in Haarlem. The apartment is just as pictured -- lots of light and spacious, but with privacy through very sensible design. The kitchen and bath facilities are excellent; the rest of the living space is clean and very comfortable. We did not get to use the small garden space due to the weather, however the view and light were always a lovely start to the day, as were the many birdsongs that began early and sweetly. Highly recommended; we plan to return.

Atmospheric B&B in the heart of Haarlem city

HarveyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marieke’s beautiful apartment in Haarlem! The apartment itself was spotless, stylish, and located in a fantastic area — close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. Haarlem completely stole our hearts; we honestly enjoyed it even more than our time in Amsterdam. It has so much charm, great restaurants, and a welcoming atmosphere. Marieke was an outstanding host — incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and helpful throughout our stay. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend her place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you again, Marieke!

Historical familyhome in the centre of Haarlem

RebeccaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a place in a great location. All the beauty of Amsterdam without having to stay in the city. Amsterdam is only 10 min by train, but Haarlem is quiet, safe, family friendly, beautiful and has everything. The bakery and grocery were literally around the corner. Plenty of good restaurants and shops. The Saturday market is fabulous and less than a 5 min walk. Several interesting museums, a big windmill and all the canals to cruise. We slept well in our comfortable beds. The kitchen was fully stocked. Our host was very responsive and took excellent care of us during our stay. Note, as in most period homes, the stairs are a bit steep. Enjoyed the stay in Haarlem.
