Holiday rentals with lake access in Balestrand Municipality

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed this beautiful place. Even though its part of a bigger (beautiful!) house because it is across 2 floors the apartment feels spacious. It's very beautifully decorated and feels cosy and warm. The views across the fjord are incredible and seem to change every time you look out of the window. Aleksander and Johanne were responsive, friendly and helpful. The Thai restaurant opposite is fantastic too. The only thing we missed was a comfy chair or sofa - and slippers for our little girl to wear on the wooden floor whilst she was rushing around at speed (bit slippy/splintery in a couple of places). I'm sure this wouldn't affect adults or older kids though! She LOVED the bath and bathroom! The outdoor deck area is lovely, despite a lot of rain during our stay we made use of it. There's a rowing boat you can borrow and sauna to hire too - we didn't as our daughter a bit young but would be great fun! A great place to stay in a beautiful part of Norway!

This was such a wonderful home to stay in for a couple of days. My wife and I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every moment of it. It is just a 30 mins drive from Aurland / Flam, and even closer to the local town of Lærdal. Fun fact, the world’s longest tunnel is located minutes away from this AirBnB! On the way to Aurland. The house is even better than the photos. It is newly updated with charming furniture through out. The bathroom is spacious and kitchen is fully stocked with a microwave, stove, and fridge. We loved getting to meet Guro’s mom who lives in the neighboring house and their dog as well. She was so sweet and made the experience feel much more like home. It was a pleasure living on an active farm and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return! The home was clean, and well equipped. We spent all of our evenings on the deck enjoying the fresh air and gorgeous view (there was even a heat lamp to keep us warm). The home was a short drive from many hiking and biking opportunities.

This place was a gem! The days flew by far too quickly, but the memories will not fade soon. We loved the long walks along the country roads and the fjord as well as the boat rides and enjoying hours talking and enjoying the scenery. Everyone in our party loved this place!

Spacious and comfortable apartment in beautiful area. Private parking a few steps from the door. My husband and I felt right at home. There was more than enough room for the 2 of us and it would comfortably accomodate a larger family. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and wifi worked great. Grocery store just a few kilometers down the road. Kjetil was so freindly and answered my questions quickly. Highly recommend this place.

Uns hat das Haus sehr gut gefallen. Es ist sehr groß und liebevoll dekoriert und sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch die Sitzplätze auf der Terasse sind sehr schön, so auch der Blick auf den Fjord. Man ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto in Sogndal, wo es viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt. Tom und Kari sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Wir würden das Haus auf alle Fälle wieder buchen.

If I could give this stay 10 stars, I would. Helga and her family are outstanding hosts who will go great lengths to make your trip memorable. The location of the house is unbelievable, peaceful and private. Everything was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the backyard was a dream for our 3 children. The living room is spacious and comfortable, the rooms are cozy and have blackout blinds and curtains for maximum comfort. There’s a river walking distance where my son enjoyed fishing. Grocery store is 20min away. Helga treated us like family, invited us to get immersed in the local festivities and made sure we were having a good time. She’s by far the best host we have ever had. Our trip to Norway was unforgettable mainly because of her recommendations and the complete comfort her house provided. Thank you for such wonderful experience. We hope to be back!

the apartment was so well equipped, especially the kitchen. The place was comfortable and cozy. if you have a car, it would be perfect... but if you need to rely on public transport, the buses are frequent from Mondays to Fridays. Saturday and Sunday, there are no busses. Kjel and his wife are truly kind. The area is great for hiking.

Super Unterkunft, die alles hat was man braucht. Küche ist super ausgestattet und die Betten sind gemütlich. Auch der Kontakt mit Svein war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Er hat uns sogar mit ein gefrorenen Erdbeeren, Sahne und Vanillesauce eine Freude gemacht! Wir sind nach unseren Ausflügen und Wanderungen sehr gerne immer wieder zurück in die Unterkunft gekommen. Dazu war sie ein top Ausgangspunkt, um den Sognefjord und seine Arme zu erkunden. Wir können sie nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft von Johannes. Sie liegt sehr schön ruhig und der Blick auf den See ist fantastisch und entspannend. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und hat alles, was man braucht. Johannes ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden wieder kommen!

We had a lovely stay at Miranda's apartment it was beautiful and we had everything we needed. Miranda communicated excellently and we were really comfortable and overall really enjoyed our experience. The projector was a special treat along with the Norwegian snacks that were kindly left for us. Thank you for a special stay.

Everything was just as described, everything went well! The drive up to the house is a little adventure (but absolutely manageable, even with big cars) and really beautiful!

Wonderful and well run Airbnb. It was thoughtfully equipped with everything you needed, from a full washer/dryer to nice towels and comfortable bedding, to information about the area. Very clean. Appreciated the overview from the host. One of the best we’ve stayed in!

Kjempe fint gammelt lite hus i landige omgivelser. Ok utstyrt kjøkken, behagelig og nytt bad. Lytt mellom rommene/etasjene. Pen hage og uteplass. Meget rent og pent.

Das Haus ist unglaublich schön und wir hätten gerne mehr Zeit darin verbracht. Und auch die Umgebung ist einfach toll. Johanne und Ingvald sind sehr sympathische Hosts und haben uns gute Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben die Zeit im Haus von Sverre sehr genossen. Es ist ein kleines Cottage dicht am Fjord. Es ist ein altes Haus mit viel Charakter und individueller Einrichtung. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Insgesamt hat das Haus viel zu bieten mit Sauna, einem Pizzaofen und Grillgelegenheit. Sverre und Kristin sind gut zu erreichen und hilfreich.

groot huis, volledig ingericht op een prachtige locatie. Veel wandelmogelijkheden, diverse gletsjers te bezoeken op korte afstand en de Eggenipa in de achtertuin! Goede tip van Erling: start de wandeling naar de top bij eerste parkeergelegenheid!

The house was perfectly located, close to Solvorn and Molden hike. The facilities were great, with a lot of space. Torger was super, with great communication and help.

Great accomodation in a small and quiet village. Isabelle is a friendly host and responds quickly. The cottage was spotless, well equipped and very cozy. The view from the house onto the glacier is amazing. Even though it was rainy during our stay we were still able to explore the area or get cozy inside by the fireplace. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others.

Et fantastisk overnattingssted som anbefales på det sterkeste særlig hvis man har lyst til å koble seg fra travle hverdager. Huset var romslig og godt utstyrt med det man kunne trenge for oppholdet. Utsikten var også noe for seg selv. Det er bare å nyte den vakre naturen med gode fiskemuligheter. Absolutt mye for pengene!
