The place is wonderful. Absolute peace and quiet. I loved it. Perfect to disconnect from everything and take a few days of relaxation. The trailer has everything you need to be comfortable. Fred is a fantastic host. I had trouble checking in on time and Fred was at all times understandable and kind to me. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place. Thank you Fred! You have built a living environment!

We absolutely fell in love with Portha Velha. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt completely at home. The charming house is spacious and full of thoughtful touches. Set in a traditional village with a serene atmosphere, it’s the perfect escape from the busy world. There’s one little store and a cozy coffee place nearby that features traditional live music every Friday! The fully equipped kitchen made cooking a joy, and the orange juicer quickly became one of my favorite parts of the stay. The attic space is perfect for yoga or meditation as it can get quite warm upstairs. Despite that, the house stays pleasantly cool thanks to its thick brick walls. Portha Velha is also perfectly located for discovering the beautiful Algarve region—whether you’re heading to the coast, exploring local villages, or enjoying the countryside, everything is within easy reach. Nicki, the co-host, was fantastic—very responsive and easy to reach.

We were there in September and the village was very quiet then. Great night's sleep. For the rest, we have no comments, everything met expectations and questions were always responded to quickly. We give 5 stars.

We had the best time at this quiet small town getaway! We loved being in a local spot that wasn’t overrun with tourists and had a very memorable and relaxing trip thanks to that. 20-30 min drive from all the most beautiful beaches - which I recommend going to a variety of beaches on the south and west coasts of the Algarve. We loved the little terrace behind the apartment too for our breakfasts, a great way to start each day. We hope to come back soon, thank you!
