The Sea Cubby, Private Holiday Lodge, Portling.

The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Barnbarroch Lodge is a traditional granite house (sleeps 2-8) located just half a mile from the sea at Kippford. The village has two pubs, a gift shop and a small shell beach. It is the perfect location for those looking to explore the abundant cycling (7Stanes) and walking routes within the immediate area. Access to Dalbeattie Forest is just 300m away from the front door and our local golf course is opposite. Children are welcome to enjoy free access to two play areas on Kippford Holiday Park.

Truly luxurious holiday accommodation in a tastefully converted byre, set in a tranquil, rural location, but ideally located for all that the south- west has to offer. The cottage is beautifully presented with hard wood floors and finishes throughout, including a wood-burning stove in the spacious living room, sumptuous beds chosen for their quality and comfort, and fully equipped to make a superb holiday cottage. Bookings are from Friday to Friday. 2 king size bedrooms, one ensuite with a further 2 single beds and wc on the mezzanine level. A bathroom with shower over the bath. Fully furnished kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. We have a dog secure garden and a shed to lock bikes in. We are between 10/30 mins from 3 of the 7stanes cycling trails and 6 miles from several beaches or hills for walking. You are 5 mins drive away from the market town of Castle Douglas.

Nearby there are parks, stunning walks, shops, restaurants, pubs & supermarkets. Kacey-Faye is ideal for couples or families looking for a relaxing short break or a longer holiday. The local area boasts stunning beaches, beautiful country walks & for mountain bikers the 7 Stanes world class mountain biking centres.

Charming chalet in peaceful rural location.

Our chalet is in our large, well managed garden. While it is near our house and we are happy to chat, we always respect peoples privacy. This is a very peaceful place where you can sit outside and watch the flames of the fire pit at night or stay in and have a cosy evening. Our neighbours are all of the four legged variety so some countryside noises are to be expected but the cows love to come and greet you at the wall. Parking space in garden

This pine holiday lodge has 3 bedrooms, open plan kitchen /living area, toilet and shower room, balcony, and parking for two cars. (sorry, no pets allowed) The lodge is 10 mins walk from 2 village pubs and the picturesque tidal estuary. It is a 2 minute ride from Dalbeattie 7 Stanes Mountain bike trails and near woodland walks and nature reserves.
