Hotel holiday rentals in Bastimentos Island

Ataraxia is pure magic and exceeded our expectations in every way. We rented out the whole lodge to host a yoga retreat with 12 of us total. Communication from Pierre and Manon was fantastic throughout and they took really good care of us — ready to help order us boat taxis, recommend us things to do, or answer any question at any time. The rooms and cabins were spacious, cozy and kept really clean. We had use of kayaking and snorkel gear as well, which everyone loved. At the top of the hill, the yoga shala overlooked the sea and was a wonderful place to practice and teach in. We were even able to spot a sloth and her baby a few times. Perhaps our favourite thing, though, was the food. We had 6 vegan lunches and dinners and we were sooo impressed by the variety of meals and how delicious every dish was. Being able to order a glass of wine with dinner was a nice touch, too. We loved our whole stay. We’ll be back!!

I cannot say enough great things about Brian and Amy and the beautiful place they have. Everything was wonderful, I absolutely recommend staying here, you won't regret it. We will be back!

Toller Aufenthalt. Unbedingt für Insektenspray sorgen. Wichtig für Internetsüchtige. Es gibt in den Zimmern kein Internet. Braucht man aber auch nicht bei dem Ausblick. Tolle Strände und Super Essen mit netten Gastgebern.

O Brian é muito mais que um Superhost, demonstra um cuidado e uma atenção total para com os seus convidados! O espaço é maravilhoso, um verdadeiro paraíso, o quarto é espaçoso, a zona das refeições é muito acolhedora e os arredores demonstram um cuidado e dedicação extrema! Comemos sempre muito, muito bem e só temos pena de não podermos dar uma classificação superior e diferenciadora. Já ficámos em muitos Airbnb mas este foi de longe o melhor e aquele em que o anfitrião nos acolheu como um verdadeiro amigo! Conhecemos outras pessoas muito simpáticas no local, porque o espaço promove esse convívio entre os vários hóspedes! O resto da equipa também é muito simpática, sempre com um sorriso! Um grande abraço Brian, desejamos tudo de bom para vocês!

Simon is an exquisite host, very welcoming and trustworthy. For being one of cheapest acomodations available, the place was clean, as well as the surroundings. I will return, it’s an excellent option when you are clear of what you are paying for. Thank u so much Simon💐

This place is very special. Brian and Amy made us feel at home right away. The location of the accommodation ist very beautiful surrounded by jungle and right by the water. We saw many dolphins in the bay and had a great snorkeling trip and hiked through the jungle. The food is absolutely incredible. The place was always clean and the hosts try their best to make your stay a once in a lifetime experience. This was the best place I ever stayed at and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you for everything, Brian and Amy.

fuimos para una noche y decidimos quedarnos 3 … un espectáculo de lugar que no podíamos desaprovechar, es un paraíso y estuvimos felices con el entorno, la comida y las instalaciones del hotel. El personal increíble siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos , en especial mica que nos ayudó en todo con una gran sonrisa y hicieron que nuestra estancia fuera maravillosa. Si van a bocas del toro porfavor no se pierdan este sitio porque es una joya a todos los niveles. Muchas gracias por todo, volveremos sin duda porque fue nuestra mejor experiencia. Daniel y Brian son excelentes anfitriones, alojar en su estancia se siente como estar en casa de amigos, pero en medio de la selva. Todo muy limpio, ordenado y la decoración hermosa, detalles muy bellos. Queda en isla bastimentos a 5 min aprox de la isla colón, Daniel te pasa a buscar, al llegar al lodge te encuentras rodeado de naturaleza, tranquilidad y buena energía. La comida de Daniel es otro nivel! Muy sabrosa y todos los días tiene un menú distinto tanto de desayuno como cena. En las noches puedes cenar solo o con ellos y el resto de los huéspedes (muy recomendado) Brian es un gran conversador y no faltan las risas y buenos momentos. Quedamos muy contentos con nuestra estancia y sin duda volveríamos a ir.

Si buscas una zona tranquila donde disfrutar de la naturaleza y la playa es tu sitio. El hotel tenía todas las facilidades que puedes necesitar, la comida está rica y Nahuel preparaba unos cócteles estupendos. Para llegar tienes todas las facilidades, en transporte público o con un taxi del cual te facilitan el número.

Me encanto, es el lugar más lindo del lugar, es super cerca de todo, tiene la playa Carenero muy cerca caminando, es hermoso lo recomiendo a ojos cerrados, no dudes en visitarlo.

We stayed here for our ten year anniversary celebration and were so happy we did. The weather ended up being a bit on the rainy side, but we still had a wonderful time going on lots of walks, playing games, swimming in the rain, and of course enjoying the food. Definitely our favorite food we had during our whole trip in Panama. We would have extended if we could only to try more from their menu. Thank you for a really relaxing time and we hope to visit your paradise again someday.

Un buen lugar para descansar y pasarla genial, con muchas actividades cerca por hacer

Firefly is a really cute place to stay on Bastimentos island! If not for the rooms, be sure to try at least the food: it was nothing short of amazing! And breakfast is included too, and those didn't disappoint! We were greatly welcomed with drinks and recommendations as well. The room is typical of Bocas: water from rainwater, no A/C but fans (the room is near the ocean so there's fresh air, works pretty well), basic bathroom. Nothing fancy but it's functional and part of the island's charm. The only downside we found was that although it's facing the ocean (beautiful view and sunsets!), there isn't a beach nor places to really swim (water is accessible but it isn't easy). For a sand beach you'll have to walk to town and do a short hike (about 30mn total from Firefly). We recommend the place for sure !

How do you write a review about paradise? The sunrise room was wonderful. Brian and Amy developed a beautiful eco friendly lodge at Dolphin Bay. The food and drinks were wonderful. The guided trek through the property was very memorable and informative. Most importantly, the hospitality was unmatched. Waking up to dolphins playing in the water outside of our room is a memory we will not forget. This place is magical and I highly recommend it! Of all the places we visited in Panama, this is the one we would like to return to.

Quede enamorado de este lugar, Daniel y Brian nos recibieron y nos hicieron sentir como en casa, el lodge es precioso, cada espacio esta decorado con diferentes artefactos de la region, Daniel nos cocino los mejores platillos que he probado en Bocas, y Brian los mejores cocteles, fue una experiencia involvidable y espero volver!

Roam was perfect! The grounds were beautiful and the room was comfortable, with a lovely view of the jungle and the ocean. The rooms had large open windows with screens so you can soak in the jungle sounds. They have kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling so you can explore right in front of the hotel. The yoga classes were great too. Every meal was delicious and unique and I highly recommend having dinner on site. It was the best food we had in Bocas and some of the best we’ve had anywhere. The guest kitchen was well-equipped with everything you would need to cook your own meals. Meghan and Ryan were perfect hosts. They answered our (many) questions to help us explore Bocas, recommended tours and sights, and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The place is a short, convenient water taxi ride to Bocas town and other islands. If you haven’t booked Roam yet, you must!

Las cabañas estaban a 1 minuto en lancha de Isla Colon (Isla principal de Bocas) ellos muy amables cada vez que ocupabamos lancha la llamaban de inmediato, nuestras solicitudes las solucionaron en el momento y en general La dueña y su hijo excelentes personas. El plus que tiene es la piscina y su propio bar. Iríamos de nuevo

We had a great stay at Meghan’s place! She was so helpful and responsive with all questions. The beds were comfortable and we rested peacefully every night. I loved eating the meals because she was very thoughtful with all dietary restrictions. We would recommend to everyone looking for a peaceful stay in Bocas :)

excelente ubicación del hotel, solo cobra $1 por trayecto desde isla colon. las habitaciones sobre el agua son perfectas, la propietaria nos cambió la habitación sin problema y valió la pena. los super recomiendo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Increíble lugar!

The location is perfect. Red frog beach is amazing. Sometimes it took a while for the host to react on our message before arriving. The staff at the location was very friendly and helpfull. They took good care of us. We just didn’t wanna leave.
