The Barn is a rural retreat tucked away at the end of a quiet leafy lane in Colston Bassett in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. Ideal for families, walkers, cyclists, gastro enthusiasts or perhaps those just looking to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, The Barn is a brand new, hand-crafted home built by the architect owner who lives in The Old Farmhouse next door. We also welcome well behaved dogs (we just request a modest fee of £20 per dog per stay)

The Annex at Bramble Lodge

Refurbished in 2025, the ‘Annex at Bramble Lodge’ sits in the middle of the village of Stathern and in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir. Stathern is a farming village, hence, we do have tractors, horse boxes and horses etc passing by. Accommodation is a self contained annex all on ground level with its own personal entrance and off road parking. A basic cold breakfast is provided. Guests are welcome to share the use of the rear enclosed garden with the host’s family.

Two bedrooms with shared bath / shower room. We allow up to 2 dogs. We also offer a fully enclosed half acre paddock for exercising them. No street lights so it is a perfect location for stargazing. Village pub 5 mins walk away. Local for Stamford, Belvoir Castle, and Burghley House.

With a permenant double bed and the option of a second pull out double bed we cater for either a couple or group of four. Basils Barn is situated on the grounds of a 17th century manor, surrounded by a picturesque 60 acre estate. The bedroom is directly attached to Basils stable, where there is a doorway in between the two spaces. In the paddocks we also have a herd of Highland cows, Hebridean sheep, horses, pigs, chickens and Norwegian Forrest cats. Our animals are mostly rescued and all of our animals are kept strictly as pets.
