Big Mick’s Cottage was an absolute gem! The setting was peaceful and picturesque, a true slice of rural Ireland. Jackie was a wonderful host, and the cottage had everything we needed for a cozy and memorable stay. We made some of our very best family memories here and will treasure them forever. Wonderful stay! Quiet. Clean. Comfortable. Beautiful! Only a short 15-min drive from central Waterford town, but does require driving down a long narrow to access (which is beautiful, but something to be aware of). Spacious. The 2 bathrooms have everything you need and the electric showers provide immediate hot water. Not a big deal, but be aware that you can only run one shower at a time. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need and also incredibly comfortable beds and living furniture. Highly recommend.

It was very quiet and peaceful. The sounds of birds and bees was a wonderful change from noisy traffic. If your aim is to get away from it all and touch some grass, then this is the place. Georgina, made us welcome and everything was great. Definitely recommend!
